Der Phare d’Eckmühl ist ein Leuchtturm auf der Pointe de Saint-Pierre in Penmarc’h im französischen Département Finistère. Der am 17. Oktober 1897 eingeweihte Phare d’Eckmühl ist mit 60 m Höhe einer der höchsten Leuchttürme Europas.
The Phare d'Eckmühl, also known as Point Penmarc'h Light or Saint-Pierre Light, is an active lighthouse in Penmarc'h, Finistère department, Brittany, France. At a height of 213 feet (65 m) it is one of the tallest lighthouses of Europe.
Lufthansa A340-600 D-AIHV in the old scheme smokes the touchdown on Runway 08L at MUC with some weather effects coming off of the wings due to the foggy conditions.
It is unknown how the KTnA D-18 “Smolwart” fell into the hands of the ADU, but it was used as a small and compact multi-role jet fighter following the outbreak which resulted from the Phaedra Incident. Several were deployed as anti-air, tactical strike aircraft to eliminate aerial targets over the Mojave Desert and reportedly succeeded in taking down several enemy craft with minimal losses.
After it was deemed that the Phaedra Incident had fallen out of ADU control, several locations were destroyed with nuclear weapons as well most of the D-18s, along with their pilots, in the process. Several years after the accident, the ADU was dissolved for a variety of reasons and the remaining D-18s were rid of.
Big GE 655 leads a Binghamton bound Lanesboro Detour train at the old Erie coaling tower in Susquehanna, PA on 12/28/1985. This was supposedly the last Lanesboro detour train, so the Lanesboro helpers that assisted in the run around move on the Penn Division were left on the end of the train for the trip to Binghamton. The newly rebuilt tunnel was open for train traffic and the first train would pass thru it later that afternoon. After New Years, the Lanesboro detour was used again for a couple of days so that some final finishing work could be completed on the tunnel. Once the tunnel work was complete, the D&H Penn Division was gone forever. There were a few railfans on hand for the final move on the Penn Division, most notably the late J.J. Young Jr., and his photo essay from that final train was featured in an issue of Railpace as I recall. This day in December was my last hurrah however, and the last time I was ever at this location.
D&H 7413 leads a Southbound on the Penn Division through an ess curve that I have labeled as Windsor, NY on August 10, 1985. It was another great weekend spent around Lanesboro, PA catching Lanesboro Detour trains. Corrections welcome on the location.

La vache Aubrac, le mannequin du plateau
La vache Aubrac est une race bovine de montagne, qui s’est adaptée à son milieu d’origine. Pour reconnaître ces animaux, rien de plus facile, il suffit d’observer leur couleur. Pas très grande, elle a les cornes en forme de lyre et le pelage couleur froment. Le tour du mufle est blanc et les extrémités (oreilles, pattes, queue) sont noires, mais surtout, elles ont les yeux soulignés de noirs, ce qui leur donne un regard incomparable et reconnaissable parmi toutes les autres races de vache.

The Aubrac cow, the model on the set
The Aubrac cow is a mountain cattle breed that has adapted to its native environment. Recognizing these animals is easy; just look at their color. Not very large, they have lyre-shaped horns and a wheaten-colored coat. The circumference of their muzzle is white, and their extremities (ears, legs, tail) are black. Above all, they have black-outlined eyes, giving them an unmistakable look, recognizable among all other cow breeds.

Voici la chenille du Polyphème d'Amérique
Antheraea polyphemus
À sa sortie de l’œuf, la chenille est jaunâtre. Après quatre mues, elle atteint 8 cm, parfois plus. À cette étape, le corps de la chenille est vert fluorescent. Il présente de fines soies, une série de petites taches orangées et des lignes transverses blanches crémeuses. La tête de la chenille est brune.
L'insecte est commun presque partout au Québec. L’espèce est rependue en Amérique du Nord jusqu’au nord du Mexique.
Habitat
Le Polyphème d’Amérique vit surtout dans les milieux boisés composés de feuillus tel le chêne et l'érable. Il fréquente aussi les milieux plus humides où poussent le bouleau, le saule et le cornouiller. On le retrouve également en milieux urbains.

Desde Viehla en dirección a Bausen por la N230, antes de llegar al Pont de Rei, comienza un camino a la derecha por una carretera no muy ancha, pero tampoco muy estrecha, bien conservada, que te lleva al Valle de Toran junto al río Torran del mismo nombre y después de muchas curvas en medio de un fantástico pero árido bosque (¡con riesgo de incendio!)…, te lleva a una fantástica cascada llamada Saut d'Arbaet... la parada es obligatoria, tienes sitio para aparcar el coche, la toma de fotografías es imprescindible
Una piccola serie, su un luogo abbandonato in Valle d'Aosta. Ex campo di prigionia durante la seconda guerra, ex abitazioni per minatori, ex casa vacanze di un istituto religioso.
Bianco e nero, contrasto elevato, niente linee dritte. Per una volta.

Gros plan sur une crécerelle d'Amérique. Je garde un certain souvenir de notre rencontre. Je ne sais pas encore si c'était par curiosité ou par contrariété mais alors que je callais mon appareil pour continuer ma série de photos, cet oiseau s'est soudain envolé pour s'accrocher au grillage et me lacérer le petit doigt! et je vous jure qu'un bec pareil ça laisse des traces ;-)
