By looking at this shop you could be forgiven for thinking it has been derelict for years but oddly this sweet little cycle shop only closed down last year. I wish I'd taken a photo of it while it was still open. The propieter hadn't changed the window display in about 30 years. When you looked in the window you could still see all the original 70's advertising. Sad to see it go as it was excellent.
More than 30 years ago, cycling in Japan in the Kanto area, North-west of Tokyo with my brand-new Giant Peloton-8000 bicycle, bought of the Takayama bike shop, Wako-shi, Saitama prefecture. I brought it back to France in 1991 and I still own and use it in 2021.
Original pictures were taken using a 35 mm Fuji HD-M camera, Fujinon lens 38mm f/2.8 and Fujifilm negative color films.
They were digitalized using a Sony A7 body and a Minolta Slide Duplicator with a Minolta Auto Bellows Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5, and processed using the GIMP software for color inversion and Luminar-AI enhanced.
Near the University of Victoria (BC), the Saanich Cycling Festival takes over the road for a fun, relaxed, family ride through the roads of the city's nearby suburbs.

This was a combination of two experiments, RChughtai attempting to cycle, and me attempting to take his picture while cycling (ofcourse him cycling, and not me taking pictures while I am cycling ... I dont want to fall down) ... khair ... this kept on going until the groundsmen / mali came and told us ke yahaan pe cycle chalana manaa hai :P
so he started cycling on the bumpy side track, and asked me if I would like to try panning
