I was at the north end of the yard flicking a w. Bound train, and i saw this moving into the yard from between the cars...... I made a dangerous entrance into a very busy section deep in the yard, parked, and hopped 2 lines to get this.
We have really loved everywhere we lived. For the people, the place, the memories, all of it. On the weekend before we left New York, we visited a little town called Accord, northwest of Rosendale northwest of New Paltz northwest of Poughkeepsie which is north of NYC. You get the idea. This photo was taken at the base of the Gunks facing, you guessed it, North toward the Catskills in the distance. One of the most beautiful places I've seen. Again for all the reasons listed above. So, someday we will return here to enjoy the people, place, and more memories.
The Danube Cycle Path near Ulm features the names of well-known cities along the Danube. Here, Sulina—the city in Romania where the Danube flows into the Black Sea.
a bloke struggling up a hill, probably could have faced him downwards but I live in Sheffield where cycling is always uphill.
Dr. August Florin and Miss Alexandra Sandell on a tricycle at the Furamo manor (close to Helsinki) on August 2, 1888. Dr. Florin seems to have been a keen cyclist, as he was an honorary member of the Helsingfors (Helsinki) Velocipedklubb, which had been founded the year before.
My colorization of the original image in the Finnish Heritage Agency archive.
"In 1789, two French inventors developed a three-wheeled vehicle, powered by pedals; They called it the tricycle.
In 1818, British inventor Denis Johnson patented his approach to designing tricycles. In 1876, James Starley developed the Coventry Lever Tricycle, which used two small wheels on the right side and a large drive wheel on the left side; power was supplied by hand levers. In 1877, Starley developed a new vehicle he called the Coventry Rotary, which was "one of the first rotary chain drive tricycles." Starley's inventions started a tricycling craze in Britain; by 1879, there were "twenty types of tricycles and multi-wheel cycles ... produced in Coventry, England, and by 1884, there were over 120 different models produced by 20 manufacturers." The first front steering tricycle was manufactured in 1881 by The Leicester Safety Tricycle Company of Leicester, England, which was brought to the market in 1882 costing £18. They also developed a folding tricycle at the same time.
Tricycles were used by riders who did not feel comfortable on the high wheelers, such as women who wore long, flowing dresses."

Well, what a fabulous few days I have had in Pembrokeshire, been thoroughly spoilt. I have a ginormous amount of images to go through but I thought I would start with this sunset, something a little different from Whitesands
I have soooo much catching up to do so please bear with me :-)
Scattata al Carmine (quartiere di Brescia) una delle zone più "vere" ed antiche della Città. Curioso il Divieto di sosta (per le automobili) e la bicicletta parcheggiata sotto.

Never easy grappling with a camera when cycling along even my Olympus point & shoot but this is the best.
Interesting temperature contrast, -2c in freezing fog for the first hour or so rising to +18c just after lunch.
As weather goes though I will happily accept more of this!
