In the spirit of Flickr Fairness (if such a thing ever existed) this shot is offered up to besieged PolPat, whose charming rural image of a log pile near his home in Poland was cut down to size, Monty Python "Lumberjack" fashion, by yours truly.

Now this is offered up as a target for his cutting humour. But whatever happens I still reckon my pile is bigger than his pile ... :-)

For clarification, I should explain I spotted these at a local woodyard in Essex, England.

A full strip-down of 2 x Stobart Coach models that were then cutup. modified inside and out, then reassembled and painted to represent this longer model.

As a child I had at least three imaginary friends that I can recall. There was Incredible, the invisible octopus, Skyrocket, the invisible seal and Harold, the ghost cowboy. Harold typically wore a white sheet with a black cowboy hat and under the sheet he had jeans, light brown chaps and cowboy boots. Harold also sported a shiny purple facemask over his sheet. One year I went to my own Halloween party as Harold but had to take off my sheet to bob for apples. Great memories.

It all begins on the planet Kamino, where the training of clones who have been bred to be perfect soldiers occur. These cadets must first be subjected to intense physical and mental training before heading off to war. Five headstrong clones of Domino squad struggle to complete their training. These cadets -- Hevy, Cutup, Droidbait, Fives and Echo -- seem to be a "bad batch" and are unable to work as a team. They're given a final training run to prove their mettle and the clones finally learn to work together...

Close up of a torn, ripped, cut and shredded one dollar note that is slowly chasing away into small pieces... the image has no symbolic meaning whatsoever... the dollar note is not burning, just floating away in pieces that will recombine on another place...

Feel free to use the image in whatever way you want! I would be very grateful for a credit link to www.planetofsuccess.com/blog/ IF you publish this image on a reputable website (such as about.com) or in a reputable newspaper. Thank you!

For the record: I did not really cut that one dollar note into pieces. I took a photo of one dollar and "shredded" it with photo editing software (GIMP). Luckily, I didn't had to cut my very first earned dollar into these pieces ;-) After all, it was a lot work involved to make these cuts, but I'm very glad ouf the outcome.. I hope you like it as well!

When I'm doing 'the dark frames' I always have a vision that guides my work. It might not be very precise image of what to come and it might change during the shoot, but what essentially separates 'the dark frames' from all of my other images is that there is always a some sort of seed of idea before the image is created. This is also makes them special in my own catalogue and separates them from the rest of my images.

For this particular image the vision came to me some days ago when I knew I would visit my brother for a one night. He and his spouse live in at the countryside far away from any other settlements and they have this old family house which has all sort of stuff lying around from at least three generations. For photographic opportunities it's a marvelous place with many possibilities and knowing that I would have some free time, one evening really, I decided that I should try to craft some sort of a dark frame there. But I knew that before I could actually start working for any kind of image, I would need a vision and without one there would not be any image.

Now, I don't know where my visions come from. Sometimes they are like quick flashes that just happen when I see some particular place. In other time they ripe and develop slowly. All I know I need to be in a sensitive condition and listen to my inner voice for them to come. This time it was a small and disfigured room in the basement that had originally caught my imagination some years ago when I did one portrait of brother in there. Far away from the world and under the ground it seemed to be a really like stage for something hideous. Before I knew what was going to happen there I already knew the lighting of setup. After that things just kind of clicked on their own and I knew that my brother and his spouse would be in the final image – after all its them who live there far away from the other people and nobody knows what happens in long winter nights.

Finally, to make this image I had to persuade them to play roles in my odd vision. Much to my surprise they were very excited for this idea and even contributed some additional thoughts which really lifted the finished image to another level. They wanted to transform my original idea into next years Christmas card, which eventfully worked out quite nicely. After creating this image came the best part of the whole visit: me and brother went to sauna with a couple of beer cans. Job done and I have to say that I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome.
