Not only does Tootsie have long whiskers that tickle when she gives us a kiss, but it also seems like someone drawed a black mustache on her lips... Isn't she the cutest mustachioed girl you have ever seen?!

Thank you everyone for the congratulatory remarks. Although I'm very grateful for receiving the 2014 Pet Fashion Designer Of The Year Award. For me, it's about the dogs. In this case, it's all about Bella Mia. I was overjoyed when she was awarded The 2014 Best Dressed Dog Award wearing Anthony Rubio Designs. Thank you. All my best, Anthony

After 2 1/2 years of having the bed on the floor (so the boys may come up and down in the night as they please), TJ has decided for 2 of the last 3 nights that he needs to do the worst on the bed while I sleep. That is NOT a viable option. So, as I type, the boys lie on the floor with all the pillows and blankets they may ever need in hopes that they will forget the welcoming body heat of winter nights...and that I may lie like a gingerbread man! :)

Can you imagine someone would give this little guy up?! I met him a few days ago with a strange lady who apparently had trouble handling him (he was very excited and barked like crazy). I was walking my own dogs and she stopped. She explained how she found him a week before, left in a bag in a cold hallway. She took him, found the owners who never got back to her, not caring at all. She asked me many questions about dogs and suddenly asked me if I could take him. She said she did not feel up to it and was too busy. Of course, I couldn't say "no" (even though I knew my hubby would be furious) and I asked her to call me the next day to confirm (enough time to convince my other half ;)). First she changed her mind and wanted to keep him and then called me two days after, crying that she could not... Long stroy short, she proved to be really unreliable and quite strange. I was supposed to pet sit him for a night and she promised to call me the next day to tell me if she wanted to keep him or not. Turns out she never called and after having left her a few messages, I still haven't heard form her. How cowardly is that?!
Anyway, this little guy just needed a pack leader, someone to care for him properly. Now he is calm and doesn't bark anymore. And pretty happy to have found a loving home.
Pouvez-vous imaginer que qqun veuille se débarrasser de ce petit gars ?! Je l'ai rencontré il y a quelques jours avec une femme bizarre qui avait apparemment quelques problèmes à le maîtriser (il était très excité et aboyait comme un fou). Je promenais mes propres chiens et elle m'a arrêtée. Elle me raconta comment elle l'avait trouvé une semaine auparavant, abandonné dans un sac au milieu d'un couloir froid. Elle l'a pris, a trouvé ses propriétaires qui n'ont jamais pris la peine de la rappeler, n'en ayant rien à faire. Elle me posa beaucoup de questions sur les chiens et soudainement me demanda si je voulais le prendre. Elle disait qu'elle ne se sentait pas capable de s'en occuper et avait trop à faire. Bien sûr, je ne pouvais dire "non" (même si je savais que mon mari serait furieux) et lui demanda de m'appeler le lendemain pour lui confirmer (le temps de convaincre ma moitié ;)). D'abord elle changea d'avis et voulait le garder, puis m'appela deux jours après en pleurs disant qu'elle n'y arriverait pas ! Bref, pour faire court, elle s'est avérée être très peu fiable et franchement bizarre. J'étais supposée le garder pour une nuit et elle me promit de m'appeler le lendemain pour me dire si elle voulait le garder ou pas. Elle ne m'a jamais appelée et après lui avoir laissé plusieurs messages, je n'ai toujours pas entendu parler d'elle. N'est-ce pas tellement lâche ?!
Enfin, ce petit gars avait juste besoin d'un "pack leader", qqun qui puisse s'en occuper correctement. Maintenant il est calme et n'aboye plus. Et plutôt content d'avoir trouvé une famille aimante.
Bad things. TJ has had extreme internal problems for the last 48 hours which have left my hallway looking like a crime scene. A trip to the emergency vet didn't help last night so I dropped him at his normal vet this morning who normally calls quickly with news. I came home for lunch, but neither Teddy nor I could eat since he's been gone for 4 hours now and still no word. Teddy knows something is up because he hopped in my lap and gently layed his head on my chest as if to comfort me.
