And I feel like a jerk for forgetting her name, but I was concentrating on her mom, ya know what I mean? :)
No, not a dirty lens; these boys are looking through a dirty window. Meet my new friends, Logan, and Prince (with the shaggy bangs).
I have offered to provide care to a vast aviary of rescued birds belonging to a friend, I was out at her Weary Wings Parrot Retreat today to meet the birds and to learn the feeding procedures. (Got bit only once by a devilish little rascal called, "Cosmo")
Along with the birds, I met the owner's two poodles. They weren't happy to meet me at first, but after a couple of hours, they learned I was okay people, and I think they were sorry to see me leave.
These two are peering out of a living room window watching me leave. The blue frame is the reflection from an outside bird feeder.
Happy Sunday everyone!

We had a great time photographing all these cute dogs at the Asheville Humane Society's annual Mutt Strut at our Dog Tag Art booth. Special thanks to Bill Rhodes (photographer), Clark Mackey, and Kristen Campbell for helping make the day a success.
DogTagArt.com is helping bring safety and style to our beloved pets with community sourced artwork permanently printed on custom pet tags.
I love the comment, "Okay, this is like the cutest photo ever." :)

Sampson has been our buddy since 2004. In the winter of 2008, he suffered a severe perineal hernia that required a $2000 surgery to repair it. At the time of the surgery, we were told that due to the severity of the hernia that it was likely to reoccur. As predicted, it has reoccurred and he desperately needs more surgery before 2012. Other than the hernia, he is a happy, healthy and active dog who should live to his mid to late teens. Therefore, I cannot in good conscience end his life prematurely. I have also contacted a Corgi rescue in hopes that he could be adopted to a family that is more financially able to care for him. However, since my husband and I can't have children, giving him up for adoption because of health issues seems as ridiculous to us as giving up our 9 year old child for adoption because we can't keep up with the medical expenses. We work in the service industry, living paycheck to paycheck and our credit is not good enough to get a care credit card that would allow us to make payments. To help us pay for Sampson's surgery, we have set up a ChipIn donation site to raise funds for Sampson's surgery. So please consider donating whatever small amount you can to help keep Sampson with the family that loves him. If you can't make a donation, please pass this info along to friends who may be able to help. Sampson, his Corgi buddies Shiloh & Rusty and his human family thank you! Click on the link below to go to Sampson's ChipIn.com page to make your donation. THANK YOU!!

We rescued little Cotton from a local city pound when his time was up. Look at that face! He's even cuter in person, if you can believe it. Cotton is about 1 year old and is friendly, affectionate and good with other dogs. He is also neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting Cotton, please fill out an on-line adoption application at www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, home visit and vet reference required. Please comment so we know what you think of this baby boy!
