Ever wonder what kind of crazy, super-secret skunkworks projects we're working on behind the scenes? It doesn’t get any cooler than this! Today at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Multimatic Motorsports and Ford Performance unveiled their brand new Ford GT Mk II. The Mk II is a limited-edition, track-only GT that represents the next stage in Ford GT performance and manifests the true racetrack potential of a Ford GT that is not hindered by limitations imposed by series rules, sanctioning bodies, or homologation requirements. The Ford GT Mk II is powered by a 700HP 3.5-liter Ecoboost engine, is equipped with state-of-the-art aero to generate 400% more downforce than a standard GT, and rides on Multimatic DSSV dampers, giant Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport GT tires, and specially-designed 19x11.5/19x13.0 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock wheels finished in Satin Gunmetal! Pricing on the phenomenal Ford GT Mk II starts at $1.2 million and only 45 units will be built, so if you want one, then you’d better get in line soon. This model is loosely based on a vehicle in which I have had some perception-altering experiences, the classic Mumbai Taxi.
Taxi? Check. Madness? Check. Need to get there faster than you thought possible? Check!
A gaping maw of intake, intercooler and turbo piping coupled with a massive rear diffuser and a serious looking dual exhaust suggest this is no ordinary Mumbai Taxi and may be a good sign that you are in fact on your way to a Time Attack Challenge instead of wherever you previously planned. Either way you might be redefining “Crazy Taxi”.
On the detailing front: Custom rock guard taping for the headlights, custom plates, and the requisite car numbering and fleet ID markers ensure unwilling passengers will not receive a DNF for failing to properly identify the vehicle with clearly marked numbers :) On the roof, custom mail package labels, custom FRAGILE tape and a custom fabric roll round things out. Special mention goes out to Jon Elliott for the inventive use of the Friends lipstick as taillights, which I have quoted here :)
I hope you enjoy!

The Renault 5 Maxi Turbo is one of my all-time favorite vehicles and certainly one that cemented in my (then) young brain the idea of cramming a large, powerful motor into a tiny flexible package to create an entirely new kind of wonderfully freakish monster.
With this build I was particularly focused on wanting the rear air intakes to be brick-built and have actual visual depth, and I wanted the rear to be wider than the front which is a key visual trait of this car. That led me to the idea of attempting the build as a 6-wide front and 7-wide rear.
Interplay between the 6-wide and 7-wide sections created room to take advantage of some nice offsets for the rear hatch, both vertical and horizontal, as well as to find nice positions for the tail lamps and the rear venting. As always with SC scale, this is a mere caricature of the glorious original, but the madness of this little beast is evident.
On the detailing front, I used graphic inserts for the fog lights, headlights and tails to help give some definition and pump up the texture just a bit. Giving the car more dimension and scale detail in this way is a technique I’m increasingly happy with.
I hope you enjoy!

Who says you can’t be a farmer AND hit the track for some hot laps if the mood strikes you?
This VW Transporter is the first non-911 RWB commission, and is rumored to belong to famed reclusive German tuner Günther Fahrvergnügen. Akira Nakai has been very tight-lipped about specs on this build, but has suggested that it has plenty of heat to hang with his other creations - even with a full load.
Increased venting out back confirms that something big is lurking below that custom wood-lined cargo bed. Even the pigs look eager to arrive at the track :)
Graphic inserts were employed for the headlights and tails, a custom VW grille logo was applied and a personalized rear plate completes the unique look and feel of this Farmer’s faithful steed.
I hope you enjoy!

Not your everyday pro-touring muscle machine? Tom Bailey’s 1969 Ford Torino Talladega is #648 of just 745 ever produced and was resurrected into this modern pro-touring beauty by Sled Alley Hot Rods. It’s powered by a 1000+HP Holley fuel-injected twin turbo Ford Performance 5.0L Coyote mated to a Tremec Magnum 6-speed transmission and rides on a Roadster Shop FAST TRACK chassis, Afco Racing coilovers, big Brembo carbon brakes, 265/35R18 & 335/30R19 Nitto NT05 tires, the Forgeline Flush-Loc Centerlock Conversion (with the optional GT nut), and 18×9/19×12 Forgeline GZ3 wheels finished with Titanium centers & Brushed outers!
