Fairly new GE B23-7 2201 is leading XW-1 southward on the main line passing the former location of the Millbury rr station. The 2201 was built by GE for the P&W in March of 1978. XW-1 will head south and work all on line customers to Woonsocket and work the Slatersville Secondary.

They don't just "stack 'em high and watch 'em fly" at Eliseevsky, they seduce customers with old world charm, attractive displays and a reassuring smell that speaks of quality and class. I took this shot of the delicatessen display in the Eliseevsky grocery store.
We get a lot of these little black crested titmice at our feeders. Speaking anthropomorphically, they seem to have "expressions" more than any of our other birds...
It's 1:25 pm. Lunchtime business is exceedingly quiet on a weekday for this restaurant.

There were a few WC units lettered for different things over the years. 7551, 3012 and CR 3312 lead GBSOA at Gilchrist on January 31, 1999. The run through CR GP40(or any other run through power) wasn't common east of Gladstone. The little trees that had recently been planted in this location are probably 25 feet tall now and this location that I'd shot from 1975 through the WC era is now grown in, not that your likely to see a morning eastbound here anyway nowadays.
The restaurant didn't have many customers that night, I decided to take some pictures but the wind picked up and it started blowing hard, dark skies didn't predict much good...Shortly after that the rain broke through and I had to take shelter under a boathouse.......:)

SRY's elusive Tree Island Steel job rolls alongside Duncan street just after 7am as they near the end of the rarely photographed Queensborough Branch. Bringing back one load from Tree Island, this customer is only served a handful of times per year and ever since the closing of the saw mill right around this location, shooting a train on this branch has become quite difficult. Don't be mistaken by these two lumber cars though, these were for Northcoast Reload on Annacis Island. This is one of those moments where you just have to be in the right place at the right time, and I almost completely missed these guys as they made their way down the branch a good 30 minutes before first light

A visit to Mildenhall on a frosty morning saw this MC-130J as the first customer of the day, coming down the Southside taxiway.

The Bozeman Local switches the R-Y Timber company's mill on the south side of Livingston MT on June 16, 2022. The customer is accessed via the Park City Branch from the yard in Livingston. The branch once led to Yellowstone National Park and hosted passenger trains to and from the park. Public highways and the private automobile put a stop to that decades ago. The branch is now nothing more than a mile and a half long if that. The remainder is a hiking/biking trail.

I was passing what was apparently a candle shop when I noticed customers asking the merchants to pose for an iphone photo....I shot through the front window rather than going into the shop.

Amphawa is an authentic floating market located 50 km from Bangkok. This once small village was apparently already present in the mid-Seventeenth Century. It has become such a magnet for Thai weekenders that we went on Friday to avoid the crowds. The food stalls have grown from the riverbanks and stretched far into the surrounding streets. The main draw is of course eating seafood grilled on wooden boats moored.
Customers perch on rows of narrow steps leading down to the water and food is brought directly from the boats onto really tiny tables. There are restaurants with real tables and chairs and food venders everywhere.
Wooden shops along each side of the Wat Chula canal sell Amphawa souvenirs from T-shirts to some more interesting creations. In all streets radiating from the market you can find an incredible array of local food sold from small carts.
There are longtail boats to explore the surrounding canals and rivers. Fireflies can be seen along the river at night and there are several Buddhist temples.
