The glass 'foot' of an old jar gently reflected against a colourful backdrop.

The sign itself and its symbols are all lines, but collectively they communicate you're driving into a curve.

The Sky Garden, 20 Fenchurch Street, London. At the top is London's highest public garden. Due to its design, the building is affectionately known as the Walkie Talkie building. It has beautiful curves and architecture and reflects different colours.

Everything is curving on a gray winter day. Not much color in the original scene so a B&W was perfect!

Here comes Winter again! One of my all time favorite backyard photos. Taken in the early dawn after a winter snowstorm 2006.

- A "filled-in" helix (for example, a "spiral" (helical) ramp) is called a helicoid.

In July 1984, a Union Pacific freight enters the cut for the tunnels at Hermosa, Wyoming, while climbing Sherman Hill between Laramie and Cheyenne. Power for the eastbound train is an assortment of EMD SD40-2s and GE C30-7s and a U30C.

I love the curves of the leaf in this photo, the water again, magnifying and bringing out the color and texture in the leaf is also cool to me!

I visited a new waterfall tonight, didn't have my tripod (oh my), but I did improvise and used rocks to stabalize hahah. Maybe I will post one tomorrow, if they came out decent.

Morant’s Curve is a beautiful area that the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) passes through along the Bow River. The location is not far from Lake Louise. The CPR train snakes its way along the Bow River in the shadow of the Canadian Rockies. Some patience is required if you want a shot with a train in it. The majority of trains that pass-through Morant’s Curve are freight trains and unfortunately there is no schedule that can be followed.

This stop was the first stop here. Waited two hours, no trains passing by… Talked to other photographers while waiting. One guy said his friend working at CPR and told him there would be a train this afternoon around 1pm. Already 2pm, still no train. Most photographers left including this guy. I joked with him, "once you leave, the train will come"... The train came ten minutes after he left as I joked with him, all the white containers, but better than nothing... It was a nice place to enjoy the train passing through the river with Rocky Mountains as backdrop... :))

Düsseldorf playhouse with new facade; Architect Bernhard Pfau

Wikipedia: "...Pfau himself understood his building more as a housing than a building. The layering of the white discs in their concave and convex windings is less reminiscent of a static building than of something organic. The Düsseldorfer Schauspiel can therefore be assigned to organic architecture. This heterogeneous category of architecture developed at the beginning of the 20th century and, as the term suggests, is characterized by its organic forms borrowed from nature. Equivalently, Niederwöhrmeier also shows the building's relation to the Novo style. This style, which is also characterized by curved forms, particularly influenced the everyday culture of the 1950s. In literature, the works of Alvar Aalto and Le Corbusier are unanimously cited as models for the Pfau Playhouse, since they can also be understood as large sculptural forms..." de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Düsseldorfer_Schauspielhaus

The theme of Macro Mondays for this week is Redux. I chose the curves theme and have cropped this one quite a bit. Color processing always feels challenging and this one was no exception. I hope this brightens your day and serves as reminder that we all have challenges that we need to work on overcoming.

Theme - Curves

This is the Bleeding heart flower in my garden in the sun after the rain :)

This is a picture exploring curves; the white cat without a tail I've shown before.
