I needed something relatively small for dinner and settled on currywurst because the other option was Burger King. I got a Mezzo Mix as my drink and it, like the Rivella in Switzerland, had a subtle taste. Its label claims it's more or less a cola with orange, but the orange taste was pretty subdued.

Or maybe the currywurst with the hot sauce just overpowered my tastebuds.

Authentic, Local and Not Currywurst | Berlin | Best of the Wurst

I thoroughly enjoyed meals I had at four classic Berlin currywurst joints, but I didn’t only eat currywurst during my trip. That would be crazy. While bopping around Berlin, I also make sure to have a taste of other local street eats.

Among my favourite non-currywurst dining experiences were two that were just as authentically Berliner and equally inexpensive and tasty: Bäckerei & Konditorei Waldtraut Balzer and Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebap.
