Ok. I had no preconceptions of German food but now I can honestly say currywurst is indeed the wurst.

Currywurst is the National dish of Germany, stands like this can be found all over. It is basically a sausage with either curry sauce or curry powder on it. A 'Berliner' is a the sausage without the curry. So when U.S. President John F. Kennedy famously said "Ich bin ein Berliner" June 26, 1963 he said that he was a sausage!
