The current building was constructed in the florid late Gothic style in the second half of the 14th century and was extensively restored in the late 19th century. It was the second largest church of medieval Buda and the seventh largest church of medieval Hungarian Kingdom.

Victoria's Current Swell capped off the last day of the Otalith Music Festival in Ucluelet, BC.

A few minutes within a day to ponder what is important and for what I am grateful within this current week.

This is the warning sign about the tides and dangers of the tides, stuck onto a nearby telephone kiosk by Margate Beach - just be careful!

Floodlights were secured on USS “Current” ARS-22’s rails and directed into the waters around the ship at sunset.

Armed sentries were posted during darkness to defend against any attempt to attach an explosives charge to USS “Current” ARS-22's hull.

Early each morning, USS “Current” ARS-22 weighed anchor and moored starboard side to AMASTRA.

At the end of each day, USS “Current” ARS-22 departed AMASTRA and re-anchored in the center of Nha Trang Harbor for security.

Currently this is the "Lastochkino gnezdo" restaurant. In past it was a cottage of a German oilman who had bought this object from a Russian general and had reconstructed one from a wooden miserable cottage to the current building.

Location - Crimea, Ukraine.

spent the better part of two days, without any rest, welding the metal patch to the AMASTRA to make it seaworthy.

Title: Rocky Mountain National Park

Current location: Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, United States

Description of work: Rocky Mountain National Park has more than just mountains. When the glaciers of the last ice age melted, they often left lakes, dammed in by debris the glaciers had pushed along their edges. The lakes eventually silted up and drained, becoming flat meadows. Riparian ecosystems, that which are situated on the bank of a body of water, appear as narrow bands of distinctive vegetation along ponds and streams. Blue spruce, aspen, narrow leaf cottonwoods, and shrubs dominate these areas. National Park Service, www.nps.gov/romo/naturescience/trees.htm accessed 6/8/2011

Description of view: includes a view of herbaceous plants encroaching a pond with evergreens in the background.

May 29, 2023 - "The skyline of downtown Columbus has been transformed with this monumental artwork by internationally recognized sculptor Janet Echelman. "Current" is a stunning, ephemeral, sky-high sculpture that will inspire wonder and imagination in all who see it. As it dances gracefully in the wind, this awe-inspiring work of art will become an emblem of Columbus’ culture and innovation.

The design and installation of "Current" was funded by Jeff Edwards. He has graciously donated the work to the Museum. We will oversee the care and maintenance of the sculpture as part of our permanent collection." Previous description of "Current" from a Facebook post by the Columbus Museum of Art.

Plant fossils in the Pennsylvanian of Ohio, USA.

"Carbonization" refers to fossils that are preserved as dark, flattened, carbon-rich films. This is a common preservation style in plant fossils, but some fossil animal groups are usually carbonized - for example, the graptolites.

The abundant plant fossil fragments shown here are in siliciclastic sedimentary rocks of the Pottsville Group, a Pennsylvanian-aged cyclothemic succession in eastern Ohio that contains nonmarine shales, marine shales, siltstones, sandstones, coals, marine limestones, and chert ("flint"). The lower Pottsville dates to the late Early Pennsylvanian. The upper part dates to the early Middle Pennsylvanian. The Lower-Middle Pennsylvanian boundary is apparently somewhere near the Boggs Member (?).

Notice that many of the elongated plant fragments are oriented more-or-less parallel to each other. This is the result of current alignment, probably in an ancient fluvial environment.

Stratigraphy: nonmarine siliciclastics above the Lower Mercer Shale, Pottsville Group, Atokan Stage, lower Middle Pennsylvanian

Locality: Rock Cut railroad cut - talus piece from a small, spring 2017, mass wasting pile along the southern side of Ohio Central Railroad tracks (west of milepost 134), ~southwest of Copeland Island & south-southeast of the town of Dresden, northern Muskingum County, eastern Ohio, USA (~vicinity of 40° 04’ 24.41” North latitude, ~81° 59’ 11.25” West longitude)

Our everyday life is can often be described as a flow, that is constantly taking us forward. We pass by places, things and people, leaving our memories and experiences behind and we sometimes don’t have an opportunity to stand up, stop and look around or behind ourselves, to see all the way, all the traces, the inanimate witnesses, that silently remember us passing by. In this photo series I sought to slow down, disconnect myself from the motion and look back, look up and down. I moved to the sides and touched the objects, had a closer look at them, inspected the marks, textures and lines, tried to observe them back and seek for the clues for the stories they had witnessed.

I make it a goal to have a drink at each bar on a Disney Cruise. I like currents late in the afternoon, it is quiet and the temperature is not so bad.

NEWPORT, R.I.

(June 8, 2022)

The U.S. Naval War College hosts the 71st Current Strategy Forum (CSF) in Newport, Rhode Island, June 7-8, 2022. The first CSF was held on May 9th, 1949 under the title “Round Table Talks.” CSF offers an opportunity for the nation’s public servants, scholars and senior military officers to join the college faculty and students to discuss the future strategy of the United States. Over the years, CSF has expanded to include a cross section of America’s civilian and military leadership to encourage a wide-ranging debate on national and international security. This year’s theme was “Net Assessment – Great Power Competition.” More information can be found here: usnwc.edu/News-and-Events/Events/Current-Strategy-Forum-2022. (U.S. Navy photo by Cmdr. Gary Ross/released)

Hundreds of current and former employees gathered to celebrated the coming academic year at the 2017 COD Block Party. The event included picnic games and a "Raingutter Ragata." The crew of the U.S.S. (fur)baby, crewed by Specialized Testing staff, took the crown.
