Some loose change for Crazy Tuesday

The Macro Mondays theme for today, 1/31, is currency - real or pretend. Question: did the powers that be have to redesign the coins?

There will be a couple of possibilities that I’ll post and then dither about— grin

I've been holding onto this shiny 2022 quarter, and now I finally found a use for it.

And I shot some video too.

Hungarian currency. I found this today in our laundry room. There must be a story here; I don't know what it is.

this is a game i heard about from a drummer friend(hi, Jack!):

while touring the world, him and his mates would fold the different notes over, and take snaps of their mates on phone cameras, (to hilarious effect! etc.).

takes a steady hand and a still friend.

go try!

Counting money occupies quite a lot of time in Uzbekistan. 1000 som is the equivalent of about 60 US cents, so currency exchange and simple purchases often took on a life of their own. Soon I realised that the locals were just as bemused, and could often be seen checking out their currency holdings!! Another version of the great money count in the comment box.
