I chose Savory for this week's challenge. I put flax crackers, green & black olives, old cheddar cheese, and a few carrot curls dribbled with olive oil.
Shot this last year on our family holiday trip up Cameron Highlands...
Do have a great weekend my dear friends : )
One of my all time favorite photos from last fall...my best friend has the most beautiful curls. (which of course she hates!)
Or Ivory Curl Flower or Spotted Silky Oaks are bursting forth in abundance right now in Brisbane. Some younger trees line a nearby road. The flowers smell wonderful too.
And a tribute to my Brisbane friend Christy Gallois who is a profuse photographer of our little corner of the world and always has a smile for everyone. And inspired me to slip down the road in heat and humidity to shoot these lovely trees.
Just across from the Flow Bar, in the lovely undergrowth leading to the ocean. I used this trip to really test out high dynamic range photography, this being one of the first ones I processed. It has been pointed out to me that this photo does not look much like a HDR image; I was hoping to get the depth of field without the garishness associated with HDR, though I would perhaps be a little braver with the processing or bracketing to hint at the dynamic range if i were to process it again.
On a sultry summer day the stillness of the air accentuates the quietness surrounding a century old barn. No animals or birds interrupt the silence and only the whispers of the past curl around fading boards. As my years have lengthened I find fewer and fewer people who are interested in what I once did and my memories now dance slowly in solitude.
I took some time to check fences this morning after another 3 inches of rain and a flash flood.
Maidenhair Fern Curl.
A new housing development provides some interesting photos. Recent rains contributed these delightful curls created by mud slurry on a new concrete sidewalk.
North Curl Curl ocean pool is located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and is a sought after location for both photographers and rock fishermen.

thanks for the support and feedback, it's much appreciated! :)
Spring isn't officially here until you start seeing lizards and snakes. This guy (and a more shy friend) were sunning themselves on the trail's berm. I believe this is a Little brown skink (Scincella lateralis) but the light makes it difficult to see if the lines are prominent enough to be a Five-lined one. The Springfield Nature Center has you looking up in the trees, the creek, and at your feet.

A crazy busy day in the office; but the evening should pass at a reasonable pace so I can't complain about that.
There's something about warm days that make things weightless, spring and summer seem easier to leave reality behind and the end of the day and just relax.
Tried to avoid shooting another bird today so I was poking around my neighbour's garden when I got home and noticed his ferns were starting to grow.
This is my favourite stage of the ferns growth so I couldn't resist shooting them today; I've learned in the past that the ferns never stay curled for too long and it's best to jump on the opportunity when it presents itself!
Hope everyone has had a good day.
