The Orlando Sports Foundation welcomed the FieldTurf Cure Bowl All-Star football players, cheerleaders and student athletic trainer aides from 40 public and private high schools in Orange County and Seminole County to the 2021 game and MyCentralFlorida's Andrei Karneichyk was out at Showalter Field in Winter Park, Fla., for this special sports event on December 16, 2021.

The pattern on the lard is from the cheese cloth it is wrapped in. The black spots are not mold or other growth but crushed pepper corns for added flavour.
Taken upon an interim inspection of the ham - it is now hanging again.

Since I'm sure most of you guys don't have a clue what a Pretty Cure is I'll go ahead and lay this one out a bit. This one here is Cure Passion, a magical girl (a Pretty Cure) from the sixth series, Fresh Pretty Cure. In the beginning, she's an antagonist who tries to deceive the other Pretty Cures under another alias, and dies fighting them despite having reluctantly grown to like them. She's revived briefly there after, when it is revealed she is in fact, the last of the four Pretty Cures. I've liked magical girl anime since I first saw Sailor Moon on Cartoon Network when I was a kid, so I guess it's just something that's stuck with me.
Also, I should mention the dark setting is meant to resemble Labyrinth, which is the world where the villains come from in the series.

I left The Living Blue set early to make sure I could see one of my favorite guitarists, Graham Coxon, play his solo set at the Stubb's AstralWerks showcase. I arrived to find Cure acolytes VHS or Beta finishing up their set. I walked inside to get a beer, and I had my first celebrity spotting of SXSW—the ubiquitous Elijah Wood (aka Frodo).
Coxon's new music is quite punky in a 1977 British way. Coxon had the best guitar rig i saw at SXSW, a twin Marshall set-up. I had a feeling it was going to be loud, and I put in my earplugs (I noticed a lot of people who had this kind of earplug at SXSW). Coxon had tremendous energy, but I didn't find all of his songs to be as well-written as some of the ones he had done for Blur. The band had a glam-rock, cockney look about them. Coxon's guitar sounded great. loud and chunky. I have no idea why he had the second guitarist, a Ron Wood type whose Orange amplifier was very low in the mix for some reason. I wasn't sure whether it was technical problem or because he wasn't that great. When coxon stopped playing, the sound suffered.
He played two of my favorites: the new single "Freakin' Out," and the fuzzy "I Wish" from "The Sky Is Too High."

Citrus cured salmon
1 cup coriander seeds
1/2 cup juniper berries
1/2 cup Telicherry black peppercorns
6 dry bay leaves
2 cups kosher salt
2 cups sugar
zest of 6 lemons
zest of 6 limes
zest of 6 oranges
2 pound salmon fillet, skin on
Finely grind coriander, juniper, peppercorns and bay leaves and mix with remaining ingredients. Transfer half of the spice mixture to a container about the size of your salmon fillet. Lay the salmon over the spice mixture and cover with remaining spice mixture. Be sure all of the salmon is surrounded by spice mixture. Cover container and refrigerate 48 hours. Rinse, pat dry, and thinly slice (leaving skin behind) for serving.
