免疫系統與生育問題
身邊不婚者很多，無孩夫妻更佔多數，但亦有人如 Sam 一樣，很想很想生 BB,惟與老公努力多年甚至求助人工受孕仍無法如願，心裡當然難受，幸好在朋友介紹下，她接受了免疫檢查，才發現其免疫系統出了少許問題，不會令她生病卻變得難以生育。經過治療後她在四十一歲成為媽媽，現在已經兩歲多了的小男孩Tristan, 活潑精靈得緊要呢！
家庭計劃指導會去年初公布的調查顯示，每六對夫婦便有一對受不育問題困擾，而不育的成因有很多，可能是生殖組織有問題，精子及卵子的質素亦有影響，而作為身體保護網的免疫系統也會引起生育問題。
血液及血液腫瘤科專科醫生陳雲斌指出，每個人的免疫系統都會分泌很多抗體及細胞基質。外國的醫學研發現若婦女的身體存在某些抗體，例如抗磷脂抗體、紅斑狼瘡抗體等，又或是細胞基質水平（Cytokines）失衡，便會導致身體免疫系統與胎兒的「溝通」出現問題，以致胎兒無法進入或停留母體，於是引起慣性流產及胚胎植入失敗的情況，就算婦女做人工受孕亦難以成功。

想知道免疫系統是否有引致不育的問題，驗血便可以一清二楚，假如確定有相關的免疫問題，就可以接受相關的藥物治療，從而增加成功懷孕的機會。陳醫生稱，過去四年接觸過十六宗病例，當中十五宗最後也成功懷孕，而餘下的一名病人仍在嘗試中，當中不乏一些年逾四十歲的婦女。
免疫生殖學是一門新的醫學課題，至今仍有很多爭議，成效亦有待研究驗證，但對於想生又未能成功產子的夫婦，始終是多了一個能實現願望的嘗試。

Cup Cakes, one for me and one for Jim and the pink one for my Mum for Mothers Day. The chocolate log one was vanilla, the carrot of course carrot cake and yes they have gone, the pink is Raspberry.

I've been meaning to post some pottery photos. This is one of my cups from last year. More coming when I get time.
I took two photos of this cup of coffee on a saucer, one vertical and the other horizontal. I prefer the horizonal photo, offset to the left to include the shadow, thinking about a sundial effect. The photo was taken at approximately 10:00 a.m.
