The Tudor period was one the most exciting in British history. It gave England two of the strongest monarchs to ever sit on the English throne – the infamous Henry VIII and his daughter Elizabeth I, the Virgin Queen.
The classic and opulent style of the Tudor dynasty has influenced jewellery for generations. They personify the axiom that More is More. Tudor jewellery is not for the faint of heart. It is meant to make a statement -dramatic, elegant, bold, sensual and romantic. Each piece is opulent, embellished and luxurious with luscious gems and precious metals.
The Tudor Cuff exemplifies this era of jewellery. Czech shaped beads are woven and embellished with sparkling firepolished and seed beads. The cuff is made even more luxurious with the addition of dangling tassels. Definitely a piece of jewellery meant to be noticed.

Waited on him for 1.5 hours to come to the BC. He buzzed it and came down several times and sat just 2 feet from it and stared at it!
My falconer friends Jeannine and Don were there. And went to the rescue to get another BC, with baby gerbils for bait. This little guy stood in front of the trap for 5 more minutes...and he was on it!
Here he is, the past three days in captivity he has made MILESTONES of progress.
Steps up to the scale with ease, hoods, well, doesn't foot, ALMOST took tid-bits from my fingers, loves the spray water bottle, recovers from bating (he learned this on the 11th time he ever was on the fist, tolerates touching of his breast and wings, and is sitting well on the glove for hours! YAY!
Just started a little into the texture pattern on the first sock. Modified the cuff: 11 rows instead of 20.
Made from recycled denim and deconstructed lead shot bags, this reversible cuff provides cutting edge fashion as well as versatility. Choose to show off your rugged uniqueness by presenting the printed canvas side, taken directly from leftover shot bags, or switch it up by flipping the cuff to the weathered denim side for a simpler look. Either way the cuff is ultra durable and especially comfortable due to the nature of the upcycled materials. The edges have been pre-frayed to add to the rugged, worn-in effect.
upcycled material cuff
This modern, trendy cuff is created entirely of scraps and upcycled materials!! Does that fabric look familiar? Well, considering iamthemandy materials are gathered from all over, it is totally possible it could have once belonged to you. Sewn from old fabric scraps, laces, threads and denims, this cuff wouldn't be complete without a vintage button closure. An elastic band wraps around the vintage button to strap the cuff to your wrist.
This is a copper cuff bracelet. I made several of these, all with different design. They can be custom made to suit any taste or wrist size.

I'm the kid holding the salmon in the middle, my sisters are on either side. That's our trailer (mobile home for the genteel) in the Santa Nella Mobile Home park just below the construction site for the San Luis dam, west of Los Banos. We were a family of migrant workers in the construction projects around northern and central CA in the early 60s.
Universal Stopping Point wanted to come over and do cuff bracelets with me using photos. I was feeling a little unsure about sewing, so I fired up the machine (took me 2 hours just to figure it all out) and I finally stitched this up. I actually printed it on iron on transfer paper (I thought it was fabric sheets of paper), and I was able to iron it onto the felt with ease. I may actually buy the fabric paper sheets, though, so I don't waste all my iron ons. My button hole is a bit wonky, but I guess it works.
