Mr. Grigsby and Vidalia share a well-chewed cardboard box together.
While I've had twosomes--Ariel and Cumin adored each other from the very start, and Gumbo and Miss Raven have been best friends over the past decade--Mr. Grigsby, Vidalia, and Curio are my first trio of best buddies. Granted, Vidalia will cuddle with anyone who lets her. At times I ponder whether the three could go to a home together allowing us to have more room for fosters. After all, all three have simply fabulous personalities. Who wouldn't love having three best buddies? Then I stop and realize that there's a reason I have them. After all, Curio needs his twice-daily steam baths and lysine to keep his herpesvirus infection under control. And Mr. Grigsby is allergic to standard cat food and who knows what else. I'd hate for others to have to pay for all his vet care when his toes balloon, crack, and end up secondarily infected from using the litter box. And I knew Vidalia was mine when she had a severe allergic reaction to one of the lysine treats I used to give her kitten Godiva. Vidalia's toes were itchy sausages, all pushing out, as her face ballooned. I had to take off her collar and give her a steroid injection. No, Vidalia does not need to go anywhere. What if something happened to her? That's why she stayed. I know what she eats and wouldn't want her diet to change based on which cat food is on sale. That's why I have this threesome for all their days. Don't get me wrong, I love them dearly, but I make a point of only keeping critters that aren't adoptable. I guess, technically, neither Curio nor Mr. Grigsby could easily find a home. And I wouldn't ever want to separate the three. Together forever.
Too bad Curio hadn't crawled in the box with them.

COWBOY CUDDLE-an adventure with Mom and Dad
Happy anniversary to my mom and dad who have just celebrated 35 years of following each other into bizarre and interesting hobbies including Irish and Appalachian clog dancing, week long bike adventures, learning Arabic, and many others. One really fun activity that they participate in most years is performing at Wild West Days in Viroqua, WI where they dress up in costumes and play music and dance. I wanted to do a fun story about them as their cowboy characters chasing each other around their property to share this fun, quirky love that they share and the adventures that they have together.
Two big white males having a cuddle. They look pretty cute, but never forget this IS wildlife. Apparently lots of tourists don't realise...
This picture was taken in a Lion Park near Johannesburg in South Africa. A few of the white lions have been featured in a film recently. It was awesome getting so close to the lions: makes you realise how impressive and powerful these big cats are!
Az and Femme cuddle under a blacklight. I miss these guys. They're Arizona bark scorpions. Formerly known as Centruroides exilicauda, they're now back to the original Centruroides sculpturatus name, after being split into two separate species. The Baja California bark scorpion, being the "newer" species, gets the newer C. exilicauda name, while the "older" Arizona bark scorpion gets its old name back.
You should NEVER leave a blacklight on a scorpion long-term. The intense UV rays will eventually kill the nocturnal animal. Some pet stores market scorpion habitats with blacklights because they look cool, but they don't tell you the facts. Long-term blacklight exposure will stress them out. They like it dark.
Here they are featured on UglyOverload.com on June 24, 2007:

Our Daily Challenge - "Cuddly":
You seriously did not think I could post anything besides my sweet Abigail, right? But I only get to see her once a week, so I'm several days late on this challenge. Abigail is far more cuddly than Hannah ever was. She is MOST happy when she is in someone's arms! She was so much fun today! Very engaging...flirting with me every time I poked my head out from behind the camera. lol

they fell asleep on the couch together. this is the sort of sister/brother bonding moment greenleaf has been waiting for her whole life.
There where questions in his eyes
that I answered in silence
and his eyes rolled slowly as I rolled away
We were sleeping in silence
we were laughing at our faith
and we always stanished to keep turning heads
hmmmmm mmmmmmmm.
And you told me not to fear
as you asked me to come hear
and the nearer I became you pushed away
And you told me not to go
but you left me all alone
and the questions go and start to hurt my head
cuddle alone
cuddle alone
And you told me please to stay
but no words still came
and I never written to your side
as the fear within me dies
it's hard to find my pride
where I left it there over a year ago
suffer alone
suffer alone
suffer alone

(Best viewed large) After they got off their motorbike and doffed their biker clothes, they hugged tightly for a while. It was sweet and I did feel a bit guilty for taking this picture with the rearview mirror, but I wanted to remember the moment..
I haven't done a lot of this lately. And frankly, guys just look like dorks with no woman to complete the pair.
