This picture was taken before our recent snow, but it was bitter cold and windy. I think these two gave up on finding a meal and decided to keep each other warm.

During a recent trip to Masai Mara, we came across this huge pride of Lions late in the evening.
The pride consisted of 7 lionesses, 3 males and about 12 cubs of various ages.
The adults were just waking up from their afternoon slumber and the cubs were all full of life waiting for some food to be delivered!
Sitting at the computer and I feel a tappity tap. I look down and its Tooey ...again. Such an affectionate cat, too affectionate!! I pat my knee and he jumps up. I try to use the keyboard but cant see because his tail is in my face. He wriggles, purrs, and turns around and around for ages.

Monkey cuddles - Yes, Florida also has wild monkeys. Who is surprised? Also of course, they were introduced. These Rhesus Macaques were introduced to Silver Springs in the 1930s as a tourist attraction. They were put on an island, but can swim so....
After passing a large flock of buffalos in the middle of the road one evening in Masai Mara, we found the large and known Topi Tribe of lions, relaxing at the bottom of the valley - probably waiting to hunt the buffalos at night.
It was so beautiful to watch them laying there up close, cuddling and enjoying themselves.

You can just see my beady eye trying to check to see if we were in focus. She is such a strange little thing. She loves cuddles with humans but won't come in the house. If you go out into the garden she trots beside you just like a dog, but even with my neighbour she seems to be outside. Our cats are frightened of her, including Ray. Makes it a bit difficult when she 'blocks' the catflap. I think she really belongs in a one cat house with a human who would could shower her with affection. I haven't seen her for a couple of days and I don't get to see my neighbour that often so I don't know what the most up to date situation is.
Yesterday I had the day off and went to choose new glasses and do lots of other little errands that needed doing in town and then in the afternoon I had a two hour pamper session...........bliss!
