This is the first picture I've taken of Cubby since she was a little fledgling. She does not like the camera, but I've always meant to take a new one of her.

Cubby Bear was inspired by the picture of the blue hats in the background. I don't know if it's possible to knit that tiny as to actually re-create the hats in miniature scale but I would love to see someone try! ; ) I felted Cubby's little blue one but think a real knitted one would be cool. He is pictured in my 1/12 scale dollhouse crib.
Little did my hubby know we were kissing in the front ground. Cubby gets in your face like that DEMANDING love. Surely we have to give it otherwise we will be sentenced to cute adorable faces turning into angry paws at your knees... ouch
These necktie cubbies were made for my husband for Father's Day. I took two vintage Coca-Cola crates and cleaned them. Then I spray painted them and stenciled on some designs. I did not care for the Coca-Cola logo. Next I applied a clear acyrlic sealer onto it to take away some of the roughness. These crates are quite old, so I didn't want it to snag his ties when he took them out. These would also be great for holding scarves.
Taking place at the Kyneton Museum, Victoria, Australia the Enlightenment Project is about creating interpretive material to tell stories triggered by the museum site of the old bank building and significant collections and objects it holds.

Day 29
Today was my daughter's second birthday and we had a little family party early this afternoon at Chuckie Cheese. I made this cake myself and for all the ingredients and the candle it was only $4! Yay me! This particular cake has an entire stick of butter in it, yum! Due to their New Year's resolutions (ugh) most of the Grandma's and Aunties didnt come near the cake, due to dieting...thats ok more leftovers for ME!
The paint colour is Northern Lights by FIRED EARTH (the designer who fronts Grand Designs on Channel 4). Almost £23 for a 2.5L tin.
Cubby is playful and endearing, but not much of a cuddler. She is always in “kitten mode” zooming here and there, wadding up the floor blanket and chasing after toys. Cubby is good with other cats and around dogs. She has not been around children much and might be a better choice for older, calm children. Cubby has been with us since 9/21/2008.

Kelly and I were Cubs fans for a day. I loved this city and Wrigley so much that the Cubs are now officially my favorite team on the Senior Circuit. They need to win a World Series.
Oh yeah, the Cubs blew a 4-0 lead in the top on the ninth and the Astros tied it up at 4. In the home half of the ninth, after a single and then a sacrifice that moved Bobby Scales to second, Alfonso Soriano end it with a game winning walk off single that scored Scales. Cubs win!

When I was 6 I remember sitting next to my mom and going throught the SEARS wishbook and seeing the Farm....I begged for it for xmas.....I was so excited at the thought of having this set......Christmas was alway a tough time for my parents because my Dad worked construction and work was hard to find during the winter.....we usually got one big toy and a couple of small ones......That year under the tree I had my farm....Today when I saw this I remembered going through that wishbook with my Mom
Elementary classrooms (all grades) have cubbies for the kids' stuff. They have coats, backpacks (uniformly-sized leather bags called "randoseru", from the Dutch "randsel"), bags for their uniforms for lunch, bags for their towels and utensils for lunch, art kits, pianikas, recorders... and the usual assortment of kid junk.
If you were curious, the school lunch today was the same as the one at the junior high school on the day of the sunny snow. The day I forgot to take a picture, that is.
Well, ironically enough, I remembered to take a picture today and deleted it because I thought I already had one.
