Crystal Bridges Museum Of Art

Bentonville, Arkansas

I took this shot a couple of days ago for MM's weekly challenge. I wasn't sure if it's acceptable for the theme. But now I want to try, as I'm not quite satisfied with my first contribution.

Having voted for 1 photo per week, I can't help adding my second image, haha :)

I'm also adding this image to Flickr Friday group.

So, this is my 'double contribution' :) Hope, you like it!

I hope everyone has a lovely time over the Christmas period (even if you don't celebrate it). Thanks you for your support and lovely comments over the last year, it's very much appreciated.

I'd also like to thank those who have made the effort to visit the 'Moor than Tors' Exhibition in Princetown despite the bad weather and to those who have purchased prints too!

The 'Moor than Tors' Exhibition will be closed from Monday the 24th and reopen on the 27th of December. Many thanks, Richard.

Another experiment on the table with crystals of silica-gel.....

We don't get tubes like this very often in Seaside Park. I was lucky to be in the water at the right time a few weeks ago with my RX100 in a new underwater housing.

Frozen water crystals on a window. I leave a spare room unheated in the hopes of getting some frost formations. I find it hard to get these. In order to get a dark background I need to have the camera on an angle and so lose dof that way. There is a bit of background from a tree and a house across the street and hopefully the frost is in the right place to make use of that. White on white just doesn't work.

Feelin good, sisterhood.

Submitted for the Macro Mondays theme of the week : Crystal.

We stayed at the foot of Mt Buffalo, in a cottage near a river. It was fascinating to go right to the top of the mountain and see this little pool at the end of the Crystal Brook, just before it plunged over the edge, into the valley to merge with the Eurobin falls and flow past our cottage 1500 metres below, as Eurobin Creek.

Still wrestling with reflection management on crystal glasses. Lacking a CP Filter for this lens I darkened the room and applied low power flash directed up and to the right hand wall, then applied a blue lens filter effect in Affinity Photo. And even then there was some blemish removal to be done! But I rather like the overall effect.

In the hours after we sailed past the Antarctic Circle, we saw lots of large icebergs, like this one, in relatively rough water. I love the juxtaposition of this one, as a wave crashes into it, against the mountainous mainland of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Crystal Sound, Antarctica.

I made a short film of what I saw in Antarctica. If you'd like to see it, head over to YouTube or you can watch it here on Flickr.

If you'd like to see all my Antarctica images together, you can visit my Flickr Antarctica album.

I wrote three blog posts about this amazing trip to Antarctica. If you'd like read about the trip and see some more documentary/BTS images, you'll find the blog posts here:

Last October Crystal Lake was stunning with a snow capped Red Mountain in the background as my Flickr friends Brad McGinley, Jon Blake and Ronda Kimbrow and I spent some time photographing the site! The mist on top of the water and the golden aspen made it a colorful day in western Colorado.

Thanks for looking and I appreciate comments and favs.

Oh, crystal ball, crystal ball,

Save us all, tell me life is beautiful,

Mirror, mirror on the wall.

Oh, crystal ball, hear my song,

I'm fading out, everything I know is wrong,

So put me where I belon

This lake is located on the MDH. Everyday I am in the San Juans I check to see if there are still waters.

Also in the photo you can see Red Mountains #2 and #3.
