The Hidden Kingdom is a mockumentary that is presented by the fictional Mister Larry Falconi.

It is like a radio show where Mister Larry describes one of his misadventures . Images appear on screen like a slide projector in a classroom. The misadventures are fictional but feature information about a cryptid.

This episode is titled "Adze."

Window Installation at Bear and Bird Gallery -- 160 Jay Street in Schenectady, New York -- October 2022.

We asked our old artist friend Skot Olsen, who now lives in Portland, Oregon and works as a tattoo artist - to do some silhouette illustrations of the creatures he creates. He provided us with a great trove of options so we could put together this fun window installation at our Jay Street location!

All of the illustrations are by Skot, but the window itself was laid out and built by me and my family! Brenda at Truly Yours Custom Framing in Glenville, NY helped out with a couple of the cut outs too!

We hope you got to see it in person and enjoy it!

Rare photos of the elusive King William Street guinea pig

The Mapinguari is an ancient cryptid thought to roam the Brazilian Amazon. Some say it resembles a giant sloth, while others say it is more akin to bigfoot. It is said to have only one eye and a mouth in its belly, which it has supposedly used to rip out the tongues of cows.

My version stands about 3 feet tall, has jointed limbs, and wired arms/hands. He is made from faux fur and 100% wool. His hands and feet are the same size as my own!

Made for the Plush Team July/August challenge.

Legendary cryptid creature is said to haunt this area in Wisconsin. No luck for us though...

Hundreds gathered at The Museum in the Park on Saturday afternoon to welcome back Stroud Wassail.

Previously, the wassail was an incredibly popular event featuring traditional music and dance and was centred around the Subscription Rooms, but the last Stroud Wassail was held in 2020 and in subsequent years fell victim to the global pandemic.

Saturday’s wassail marked a glorious return and opened with dancing from Miserden Morris, followed by Styx of Stroud and Merrie Morgana.

The event was officially opened by Robin Burton, who introduced singer-songwriter Johnny Coppin who performed gallantly despite a sudden downpour.

A barrel of beer, supplied by Fresh Standard Brew Company, who had a stall at the event, was later put ‘on trial’ – and ultimately found not guilty.

The Cryptids performed in the museum’s courtyard before The New Gloucester Play was performed – a modern mummer’s play, which brought the afternoon to a close.

Abigail Large, Events and Exhibitions Officer at The Museum in the Park said: “It’s great to host amazing community events like this – it’s all about wishing each other good health, good cheer, and it has been great fun.

“I think the last one was in January 2020 – and we all know what happened in 2020 – so there has been quite a long gap so it’s great to have it back.”
