SUMMER HERE I COME. I AM SO EXCITED! Today was my last day of school and now I am officially on summer vacation. Now I have no excuse for not taking pictures so hopefully I will get this project back on track.
Oofta.. I am so behind.
Straight from the camera.
I wanted to create as large space of my studio as just possible!
Model: actor/dancer Unto Nuora.
the girl falls to pieces.
this is the most honest and vulnerable portrait i've taken of myself to date. it's always been difficult for me to want to photograph myself crying, because no one wants to take out their camera and document themselves at their lowest. well, i finally did it. and then i stared into my own face, took a breath, and felt something resembling relief.
This crisp cool morning I am weeping.
I awoke with a chill in the air and now my petals are trembling.
Gentle rains are my friend but I now cry because I feel Autumn sneaking her way into my world.
Was not posed or planed. this was a truly emotional moment for me. i try to make my photos very true to me, as in reflecting my life in its most beautiful and tragic times. I have been a little off schedule lately, but I plan to post more very soon.
It comes from the ancient belief that the swan stays silent its entire life, only to sing a beautiful song just before it dies. "Wild Swans" is thus the emotional heart of The Lost Birds--one final, impassioned cry, before the birds' songs recede into the long silence of extinction
Would not have even noticed this fella if he wasn't making a screeching noise. It was very weird, I didn't even know snakes could make noises like that.

I saw Ólafur Arnalds playing this song. I saw him feeling the sounds and his thoughts so very deeply. Tears ran down my cheeks like they did when I took this picture while thinking about this song.

a good start in the new week !!
I was lost till you were found
But I never know how far down
I was falling
Before I reached the bottom
I was cold and you were fire
And I never knew how the pyre
Could be burning
On the edge of the ice field
And now the chilly California wind
Is blowing down our bodies again
And we're sinking deeper and deeper
In the chilly California sand
Oh I know you belong
Inside my aching heart
And can't you see my faded Levis
Bursting apart
And don't you hear me crying:
"Oh Babe, don't go"
And don't you hear me screaming
"How was I to know?"
I'm in the middle of nowhere
Near the end of the line
But there's a border to somewhere waiting
And there's a tankful of time
Oh give me just another moment
To see the light of the day
And take me to another land where
I don't have to stay
And I'm gonna need somebody to make me feel like you do
And I will receive somebody with open arms, open eyes
Open up the sky and let the planet that I love shine through
For crying out loud
