I wanna fall asleep forever
I wanna learn to disappear
Can you take away the mess, that’s been building in my chest
Drowning out the song I used to hear
Love’s a violent word, don’t you forget it
I ain’t saying that you ever could
I’ve seen my seasons change
I was crying out your name
Remember when we used to feel so good
So don’t forget to love me in damnation
For the living I have earned on love gone wrong
And we’ll open up old wounds in celebration
If we don’t bleed, it don’t feel like a song
You got your honest intuition
You got your cigarette smoke
And I’m all your oldest fears, the black mark on last year
But I got the hope you let me hold
So let them judge and shove us under
And let them do the devil’s work
Let them calculate the crimes in all our broken rhymes
But let us find the heaven following the hurt
So don’t forget to love me in damnation
For the living I have earned on love gone wrong
And we’ll open up old wounds in celebration
If we don’t bleed, it don’t feel like a song

Peace and Justice
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
We come before you, Lord,
crying out in a violent land,
crying for peace.
Conflict is tearing people apart.
Our brothers and sisters suffer around the world.
We share their pain.
As refugees search for a home in foreign lands, guide them.
As world leaders try to dialogue peacefully, give them wisdom.
As strangers knock on our doors, help us to welcome them.
You are the Almighty, the Prince of Peace!
Give us hope for tomorrow.
May your peace flow like a river through a dry land.
Amen.

“My tears of joy
hear the raindrops crying,
as the rain never wants to pour
down on my cloudy days
when I make
our love-dreams
for the sun to dream
only for you...."
(From the poem "Only For You" By Munia Khan)

Last spring on my rural NC property, a feral cat abandoned her three babies when they were four months old, viciously chasing them away. I became their caretaker. They would hide in the bushes while I left food and wouldn’t begin eating until I was a few feet away. Gradually, they let me draw closer.
The female baby was the most traumatized and would sometimes cry and howl for her mother, then run through the woods looking for her. I named the little girl Cali.
This is a photo of Cali at six months old, still crying for mommy, as brother Mini watches over her. I tried to comfort her with soothing talk as I took the picture and then fed her a bowl of milk along with her favorite food.
A year has passed. I now feed the three youngsters on my front porch and recently they’ve begun letting me pet them. But they’re still wild animals and are afraid to enter my house.
Several weeks ago, Cali gave birth in the forest to four babies. A few days later she carried one in her mouth to place at my feet as an introduction. Within a month, she’d moved them onto my porch where there are plenty of places seek shelter.
Cali nurses her children in front of me and then sits with me on the steps as I pet her and the babies watch. It’s very clear she wants the babies to bond with me because she knows how I’ll treat them.
Cali is far more affectionate with the tiny kittens than her mother had been. She learned about kindness from being with me and is now passing it forward. I believe her children will continue the new tradition when the time comes.
"Sometimes, crying is the only way your eyes speak when your mouth can't explain how broken your heart is."

The limpkin, also called carrao, courlan, and crying bird, is a bird that looks like a large rail, but is skeletally closer to cranes.
The limpkin is a long-legged species of waterbird that has dark brown feathers with streaks of white on the head and neck and absent on the rest of the body. Limpkins can grow up to 28 inches (71.1 centimeters) long, with a 42 inch (106.7 centimeters) wingspan, and weigh up to 46 ounces (1,304 grams). White blotches and triangular marks can be found on the neck and upper body. The key physical feature of the limpkin is their down-curved bill, which is used to feed on their primary prey, apple snails. Limpkins are also known for their resounding calls, which are characterized as a high pitched “Kree-ow, Kra-ow” sound.
Limpkins feed primarily on apple snails, but they will also eat insects, worms, and mussels.Limpkins will walk in shallow waters searching for apple snails and utilize their down-curved bills to get the snail out of its shell.

When your baby leaves you all alone
And nobody calls you on the phone
Don't you feel like crying?
Don't you feel like crying?
Well, here I am, my honey
C'mon, cry to me
When you're all alone in your lonely room
And there's nothing but the smell of her perfume
Don't you feel like crying?
Don't you feel like crying?
Don't you feel like crying?
C'mon, c'mon, cry to me
Whoa, nothing can be sadder than a glass of wine alone
Loneliness, loneliness, such a waste of time, whoa yeah
You don't ever have walk alone, you see
Come take my hand, and baby, won't you walk with me?
Whoa yeah

I was rambling inside the old British residency at Lucknow. I noticed that the guy was crying ( I don't know why) and his fiancée was trying to console him.
A beautiful wet visit to the welcoming waterfalls of the Afon Mellte. I couldn't resist another wet sleep in this special location. Crying too long is by The Shadows, a reggae group , perfect for my breakfast disco.
Old houses remember those who used to live in them. I can hear this house crying over them. I am not exaggerating
I will never forget the wonderful days I spent in old houses like the one in the photo above. They ARE very warm and loving.
