Kashmiri woman cries near a body of Fayaz Ahmad 9unseen) during his funeral preparations in Srinagar on September 18, 2010. Fayaz was injured during an anti-India protest on September 14 and succumbed to his injuries in a hospital. Police fired on fresh anti-India demonstrations in Kashmir on Saturday, killing three protesters and bringing the number of civilian deaths in an unprecedented wave of unrest to 102. The new deaths came as thousands of Kashmiris poured on to the streets shouting "Go back India" and "We want freedom" as New Delhi grappled to find ways to end the escalating pro-independence demonstrations. Women and children joined young men staging protests, defying curfews imposed across the mainly Muslim region to contain the spiralling unrest
Now they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder (fonder)
And that tears are only rain to make love grow
Well my love for you could never grow no stronger (stronger)
If I lived to be a hundred years old
Oh, it's cryin' time again, you're gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me darlin' Oooh
That it won't be long before it's cryin' time

A crying Rose . . . or maybe " November Rose " . . .?
I think with the first one is more appropriate because it was the last rose outside our window . . .crying tears for the last warm days left - it even fell apart shortly . . .
I love this old photograph, bought at a car boot sale. It shows a baby in dungarees and sun bonnet, crying and gesticulating to camera, on board an inidentified ship, date circa early 20th century. The markings for deck quoits can be seen at bottom left.
This over 220 years old statue is part of a tombstone, which you can find on an old cemetery just outside the historic center of my hometown. This cemetery was closed in 1881 and a big part of it was destroyed during World War II. During the following decades the remaining tombstones where left to decay until recently, when some of them where restored.
It took me three attempts to photograph this statue, since the light never was quiet how I wanted it. A couple of days ago there was an almost clear sky for a few minutes, so I went over from my workplace and took a few shots. This is one of them. I will post more photos of this statue in the coming days/weeks. I find it particularly beautiful and very saddening at the same time. It belongs to the tombstone of a 26 years old woman who died in 1793.
The crying child being pacified by the entire family. Seen at Ooty Boat House. One lady from the family is taking a video also
While you are not able to serve men, how can you serve spirits [ of the dead]?... While you do not know life, how can you know about death?...
