Clay & acrylic paint.
Experimenting with the point where 2 sides meet and playing with the asymmetry of the sculpture. I didn't want to look at the clay too much as i molded it so i have to feel that it is balanced and if it goes in on the left, it must go on the right too.The acrylic paint was then painted on blindly for a random finish look to tie it all together.
The church is a Mudejar style church that was started in 1537 under the direction of the architect Diego de Siloe, one of the best Andalusian architects of that time. There used to be a mezquita here but the only thing conserved is its tower made of brick and decorated with tile. The tower has four windows in its façade.
Some "before" the season begins sewing. Ruffles were made preserger breaking. Pattern is McCalls with added ruffles.
