There are at least two specific crosses located in the woods above the River Hodder, near Stonyhurst College: Hague's Cross (the one pictured)and Woodward's Cross.

These crosses are part of a local "Stonyhurst Crosses Walk" and are said to be memorials for young Jesuits who drowned in the river.

Hague's Cross stands above the River Hodder in the woods close to the former preparatory school, Hodder Place. A new cross was fixed to an ancient base in 1910.

The wondrous architectural design of the roof at King Cross station keeps an Islamic sensibility hidden within it. Looking at this roof more closely this evening, the beauty of it became apparent all the more, as images of patterns found on Iranian Nain rugs and the ceilings of Mosques sprang to mind.

As serendipity would have it, a Muslim gentleman opened conversation and showed some pictures of a Mosque his family had built recently in Kenya, in memory of his father, who passed away ten years ago.

Sights from around the Mountain View Cemetery, Casa Grande, Arizona.

I've discovered a trove of pictures I took on a seminar swing over three weeks in Northern California, Oregon and Washington in 2004. I got a LOT of pictures, which I'm just recently rediscovering. This is fun!

This is somewhere between Orick and Klamath, California. It was probably among the Redwoods, although I don't remember the situation of this particular picture.

Early morning light doesn't penetrate the thick oaks of the Oklahoma Cross Timbers until mid-morning in fall. I love the dark background. If this buck were just a few feet back in the shade, forget about a photo. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

I want to cross this warm place, full of soft aromas and feel the humidity of the wet earth that touches the tips of my fingers, I want to enjoy this sun, touch the stone, feel its centuries that navigate my mind, I want to be able to be and perceive it like a great beauty ... like the soft presence of a person, that just ... makes you good, I want to cross .. and I will cross
