I've remastered this popular scarf in anticipation of the upcoming Tunisian crochet classes that I'm teaching nationally.
It's inspired by my Five Peaks Shawl, which was published in Interweave Crochet magazine, Spring 2010.
Like the shawl (except that it has a long rectangular scarf shape instead of an "L" -- the "five peaks"), you begin in one corner, and edge it with simple eyelets as you go.
One of the 'remastered' aspects is that I've found a new way to shape the left edge. I also think that this kind of design is the most fun if you can work from a diagram of it, instead of (or in addition to) a traditional pattern text.

Hedgy wanted to explore my crochet book to see what exactly I was making. It's a good thing that crochet patterns are pretty universal.
(PS: sorry it's so pink but I couldn't figure out how to get the white balance to work. Also, my head was hurting too much to really make me work on it. Allergies ... @.@)

Narwhals must be one of the most rare and fascinating sea creatures. Acording to Inuit mythology, the narwhals were created when a woman, who was hunting whales, was dragged into the ocean after her harpoon had struck a large animal. Then, she was transformed into a narwhal herself, and her hair into its long spiral tusk, which is one of their most special characteristic.

These beads are so vivid that I thought I'd like them with a vivid thread color. Instead, the beads dulled, looking closer to black. I think black crochet thread would be a better choice for these.
