This is one of several new crochet pattern PDFs I'm adding to my DesigningVashti shop this year (and to Ravelry). I love the different kinds of Star stitches I'm digging up from different decades and am featuring their unique qualities in designs for my CGOA class, "A Star Stitch for Every Purpose."

The red-striped scarf is crocheted with two strands held together of my shimmery, draping DesigningVashti Lotus yarn. It's sport weight, and this means the scarf comes out the same size if you use one strand of worsted weight yarn instead (see the heathery green striped version.)

The chain-fringe ends are crochet-as-you-go, or just use simple yarn tassels (such as the worsted wt green wool version).
