Project 365 // Day 88
These are some critter characters my wife made using her Cricut machine. She enjoys making custom party/event invitations, greeting/holiday/birthday cards, among other things. A Cricut is a home die-cutting machine capable of cutting paper, fabric and vinyl sheets into specific patterns, shapes and designs.
As a designer, I love how versatile this machine can be, since it allows you to make very unique things.

Critter Country is one of my absolute favorite places in Disneyland, the laid back atmosphere and country feel of everything is so welcoming and relaxing. Since it's only major attraction is Splash Mountain it tends to get overlooked when it's cold out but I think it has that amazing level of Disney detail and the scenery is perfect. If it's a busy day in the park I always know I can find a table at Hungry Bear in the back corner and just have a nice relaxing meal to the sound of Rivers of America and the country banjo music playing.
This is a 3 shot image manually masked in CS5 and then some Nik software to finish.

Trail-converted Burlington Northern Railroad bridge, PNW Cascade foothills.
The lines, symmetry, and muted tones seemed to call for a B&W treatment; it also helped with the overcast and somewhat blown-out sky. (Sony a6000 w/kit lens)
Had our first big frost....poor Critter had some serious frozen paws and high tailed it back in front of the heater after our walk to defrost.
A mountain pavilion in Kamiichi, Toyama, Japan by British architect Peter Salter. Not only is the pavilion designed to frame views of the surrounding mountains, its layered construction enables critters to live in its wall cavities during the long winter months when the pavilion is buried under snow.
