I was exploring the demolition site of the Victory Silos of downtown Toronto and came across this little guy and his 4 siblings. They were very curious and seemed to lack fear, probably due to being born in a thriveing metropolis. They were very comfortable with my presence and I was able to get within inches during my enconunter. It was a very cool experience!

Critter want to know~~not so bad today~~only 104 with the heat index factored in.

Mama was busy eating grass when I emerged out of the trail and gave her a little surprise. She didn't seem to care and just kept looking at me while she was eating. I kept talking nice and quiet to her, snapped few pictures and kept walking. What a good bear.

Prairie dogs are pretty hard to capture in a photo. You stop the truck and they are in their hole. Had to use long lens and then crop a little. Not one of my favorite subjects to photograph but when that is the only thing available--go for it.

I thought it time I introduced the residents to Critter and omg he was a hit. I wasn't sure how he would go because he's not really a lap cat but when I let him out of his cage he would sniff around the room and then jump up on a chair or their bed till it was time to see the next person. I was so PROUD of my little boy.

This is Jean - Jean doesn't mingle much with the other residents, is a no nonsense type of lady, her door is always closed but on the occasions I have seen her in the hall I know she loves animals, so now even when her door is closed I make a point of barging in so she can have some animal time and she loves it.

Many of you tell me what a wonderful thing I am doing but truth is the kick-back I get is far greater.

I get to show-off my animals and be proud of them, I get to listen to stories of when these people were young and hear all about their animals and I get to see how much happiness, smiles and laughs my animals bring to these people and that is the best feeling in the world.

The posted photo in colour I didn't like much but when changed to b/w I did, I like the feel of it. I also like the one in comments which shows how happy Jean is and love the look on Bella's face.

Grab your sketch pad or journal and walk slowly around your own yard, head down, eyes on the alert. First, you will spot the obvious: the ants, sow bugs, a lizard or two, mosquitoes, flies - but then some movement in your peripheral vision will alert you. Lift a leaf or look a the base of that flower and there he is! Your co-inhabitor of your yard. Maybe I will see a drawing of your discovery on your Flickr page.

.....but I did not shoot the squirrel. But I swear it was in pure nonsense :) This way I get to throw him back in the water and catch him another day:)

Disney theme parks signs.. another aspect of the parks that fascinates me... from the typographies to the designs, materials, colors... extreme attention to detail.

Some more variety work, trying to pop out the colours. Running out of pictures, almost hit that 200 image cap :(
