Sharing my beautiful Sri Lanka. View in large.
Taken after a heavy rain from a distance during our stay at Ramboda Falls Hotel in 2018.
This is Puna falls in Sri Lanka. Water became mud color at One side of the falls.
It is our duty to protect the nature.

A bronze memorial to CY O'Connor he took his life by riding his horse into the sea at Robb Jetty, North Coogee & shot himself. He was a Pioneering engineer in Western Australia.
Death
The Goldfields Water Supply Scheme received a significant amount of unwarranted criticism—particularly from the media.
The unrelenting criticism, delays, and the lack of funding and co-operation took its toll on O'Connor who chose to take his own life on 10 March 1902.
That morning he took his customary early morning horse ride past Fremantle Harbour, then south to Robb Jetty. Once there he rode his horse into the sea and shot himself.
O'Connor unfortunately did not live to see the successful completion of his Goldfields Water Supply Scheme.
Animals have these advantages over man: they never hear the clock strike, they die without any idea of death, they have no theologians to instruct them, their last moments are not disturbed by unwelcome and unpleasant ceremonies, their funerals cost them nothing, and no one starts lawsuits over their wills.
I love criticism, especially when it's constructive and gives me the chance to improve myself ;-)
A huge thank you to Karsten Höhne, who led me into the world of Photoshop with a lot of patience and great tricks. It's even really fun once you know where what is and what each click does.... (not that I already know all that :-))) )
Stay positive and happy. Work hard and don't give up hope. Be open to criticism and keep learning. Surround yourself with happy, warm and genuine people.

To all the other dreamers out there, don't ever stop or let the world's negativity disenchant you or your spirit. If you surround yourself with love and the right people, anything is possible.
Adam Greene
It's important to surround yourself with good people, interesting people, young people, young ideas. Go places, learn new stuff. Look at the world with wonder - don't be tired about it.

Also please don't post pictures in the commenting-area. You could post them much better in your own photo stream. ;-D

I was in two minds whether to post this, I wasn't entirely happy with it but then sometimes it's good to post and then look back later on. This is a male of the Orb Weaver species. This was on a walkabout by the canal on Kaiserin Augusta Allee in Berlin, it was a nightmare trying to get the focus when using only a kit lens and this little guy was running up a thread at quite the speed.
Let me be open to criticism so please do provide feedback should you wish, more than welcome to it and that applies to every photo.
Anyways, final weekend before Crimbo, I hope everyone has a good and so as always, thank you! :)
PS> Oh and the name, this photo reminded me of that god awful movie series of Twilight when Charlie Boy shimmers and twinkles in the Sun for godsakes, urgh, so yea, sorry lads for the reference :o)
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Everything is welcome - especially constructive criticism!
I discovered this stag beetle by accident and then observed it for a long time. The stag beetle tried to climb the tree but kept failing. When I stopped by on the way back about two hours later, he was still trying his luck. After a moment he gave up and crawled to the footpath. So I had to step in and take it deeper into the forest as the footpath is overused by cyclists and just too dangerous.

A little bit of Norway in Texas. Immigrants from Norway first began settling in Bosque County in the mid-1800s. With strong ties to its Norwegian heritage, the church and nearby community retained use of Norwegian as the primary language well into the 1900s.
St. Olaf’s Kirke (Church) was built in 1886 by architect Andrew Mickelson and his brothers, Christian and Ole Mickelson to serve the Norwegian immigrants of the area. It was built with local limestone from which it became known locally as “The Rock Church”. The church is now used only for special services.
The church has neither running water nor electricity, and is heated by an old wood-burning stove. Both the stove and the Vocalion Reed Pump Organ were manufactured before 1900. The hand-painted finish on the pews mimic more expensive wood. Pews, floors, and light fixtures are all original. A beautiful carved wooden reredos (altar screen) stands behind the altar with the pulpit in the center above the altar.

While out shooting I noticed a crop duster operating in the field next to me but didn't think much about it until the noise grew louder and I turned to see this. Immediately the famous crop duster scene in North By Northwest came to mind. I was tempted to run and make my escape but I'm no Cary Grant so I decided to take the photo instead.

Here's one I took back in late November of 2013, the setting sun created a lovely silhouette of the Farmhouse and trees with a lovely orange glow and a single star shining brightly in the sky, 'twas a cold but lovely evening as I remember it! :)
