This curious gosling ventured just a little away from mom to check out where all those camera clicking sounds were coming from. LOL

Photographed during my last hols back home in Sri Lanka.

This is our beautiful country where I come from.

St. Clair's Falls is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. It is called the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka" and is one of the most politically discussed environmental entities in Sri Lanka.

It is situated 3 km west of the town of Talawakele on the Hatton-Talawakele Highway in Nuwara Eliya District. The falls derived its name from a nearby tea estate. The Falls is 80m high and hence 20th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. St. Clair's falls comprises two falls called "Maha Ella" (Sinhalese "The Greater Fall") and "Kuda Ella," (Sinhalese "The Lesser Fall") which is 50m high and was created by a tributary of Kotmale Oya.

Taken at the "Lipton's Seat" Sri Lanka. Whole place is the Tea plantation. It was very misty in the afternoon when I took this shot.

With their elaborate headdresses, the crowned pigeons are probably the most beautiful pigeons. They look majestic and impressive - but can also be different as we see in this photo. Deep down inside, they're looking just as sweet as sugar!

See the position of its beak, it has gone through the fish's mouth. I don't know how he managed to swallow its prey, but he did at last. Indeed I feel sorry for the fish, but this is nature, we can't help.

Today we visited the breeding colony of the arctic terns - a lot of trouble and noise. The birds are just starting to breed, and they have to manifest their partners and nesting places. At the same place a lot of black headed gulls are nesting, and they have already their chicks. And - most stressful thing: tourists. These people who come as close as possible to the birds to make some senseless selfies. They regret that soon because the birds are attacking them if they come too close - like this brave Daddy-tern.
