A vendor's world—a stool, a stash of chicharon, and the patience to wait. The understated beauty of street entrepreneurship in the Philippines. Chicharon, a popular Filipino snack, consists of crispy fried pork rinds seasoned to perfection. Loved for its crunch and savory flavor, it’s a staple treat often enjoyed on its own or paired with vinegar for dipping

"Crispy Morning" 2016

Although slight front-end blur is visible, I thought this worthy of an outing. A Leyland Terrier of Smiths Crisps is heading out of, I think, Sudbury* in Suffolk, although I don't know exactly where, around 1984. The wagon was licensed between December 1982 and November 1991.

Scanned from a 6x6cm-size negative taken by the late DJ Fitch, now in my collection.

A local artist will paint a mural on your garage door. This one is a few doors away from home. Taken on a crisp day with crisp light.

Empty ethanol chasing the sunrise on a brisk Nevada morning.

I hardly never edit a photo after scanning, for example straightening it. However, this photo seems to be rather "perfect" which is good with an old Minolta without any aid -:) On the other hand, I am critical against the traditional geometrical narratives in photography.

*Edit* - it's 47709.

I forget what we'd arrived on, probably 37114 off the Elgin, but we were greeted with 47709 being attended to by the Inverness fire brigade. The fire engine looks ancient, but it's just 13 years old at this point. Probably just ready to be pensioned off.
