I went over to Indian Creek Farms with the intention of buy some Honey Crisp apples but they were sold out. The lady recommended Autumn Crisp apples. These are quite tasty too!

With perfect proximity to Anchorage Delani State Park is an ideal place to visit any time of year.
My preference is in Autumn as the Aspens are popping with rich crisp golden leaves with snowcapped mountains in the background.
Of course, less tourists this time of year really opens the door for more of a peaceful solitude as you trek through the vast scenic trails or backcountry excursions.

This Phoebe took a quick rest break from, hunting bugs in mid-air, and allowed us to capture this photo. We thought the lighting was just right. The Black Phoebe is a dapper flycatcher of the western U.S. with a sooty black body and crisp white belly. They sit in the open on low perches to scan for insects, often keeping up a running series of shrill chirps.

Look around for the freshness of fresh cut flowers. Fresh flowers help set the tone for clean and refreshing air. Shortly after a light rain look at the pedals in your favorite plants. I came upon this recipe and for today's challenge it's perfect, I think they are nice with soup but I liked them best with chili sauce.

Pine needles crisped after exposure to the steam from the geysers and hot springs in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
Crisp clear morning. The sky was a cool blue with my normal hard backlight. Late afternoon is not much better because the sun starts slipping behind a 4 story apartment building.
I took this shot one morning last March off US-12 somewhere West of Lewiston Idaho, I believe somewhere near Pomeroy, Washington but not exactly sure. I walked along the ledge and ended up with quite a few pictures that I liked. As I recall, it was early, the sun hadn't been up long, but the clouds obscured most of the direct sunlight, so pretty much had cloud filtered light.
Tonight I'm in Otay Mesa, which is near San Diego and just about as close to Mexico. When you exit off I-5 onto I-905 then look right from the overpass, you can see into Tijuana. In fact my internet speedtest app on my phone thinks I'm in Tijuana. I use to worry T-Mobile would charge me for international data usage, but they never have, somehow they know I'm still on this side of the California border wall.
