New figure frames being prepared! If you've ever been curious to see what the Vintage Collection 1:18 scale Black Krrsantan looks like all dremeled down to an articulated frame, here ya go!
Additional articulation points are to be added but this frame will become my 1:18 scaled "Unidentified Greasy Creature" from Star Wars Skeleton Crew. To those that don't know, this is the name they gave the creature in the credits...and I haven't received any additional info from the Skeleton Crew production staff that could better reel in a name so perhaps down the road, I'll need to name the guy myself because "Greasy Creature" sounds ridiculous LOL!
The other frame will be some sort of creature from the Star Wars universe but I have no idea just who yet. I had in mind to do a second Yuuzhan Vong Warrior but not sure since I have three already in the works that are specific characters from the Expanded Universe (legends). Perhaps a Wookie or some similar creature in size and build. We'll see.
So, that makes three new figures I am working on now with a mystery character still being determined. More to come with sculpt updates on the way. These frame updates aren't always the most exciting.
Frame building is always the least favorite process for my builds. Sometimes it's a single figure I can widdle away that contains all the right points of articulation I need...other times I have to "Frankenstein it" with multiple figure pieces to get what I want. As long as the outcome meets my expectations, it's worth all the cutting and super gluing LOL!
Thanks for checking out the update! More to come!!!

Caption:
Two figures—one human, one not—share a stillness that feels older than words. The man, wrapped in black and shadow, leans against a crimson sphere that bleeds faintly onto the pale floor. Behind him looms the creature, all slick limbs and sightless eyes, its presence less a threat than a fact of the room itself. Between them lies a silent accord, forged in the unspoken understanding that neither belongs wholly to this world.
Artist Process:
This work is anchored in the tension between form and texture: the smooth geometry of the sphere and polished surfaces of the human figure contrast sharply with the organic, chaotic gloss of the creature’s limbs. The composition positions both subjects in a visual balance, creating a dialogue of scale without allowing either to dominate. Lighting is carefully staged to deepen shadows and enhance surface reflections, giving the scene a cinematic weight while keeping its narrative open to interpretation.
