Day 3 of Seven: Draw Your Days!
sipping a morning coffee. a doc visit. working on my blog paper. reading grad students' papers. picking up a dress. getting a happy email :D. munching a rangginang (rice cracker snack) from cimahi. meeting an old friend from jakarta.
My tablet is a Nexus 7, so it is relatively small. All I really needed to do was align my charger with the rough center of the tablet.
This wasn't too hard to make, along as I didn't need a case. This picture is my tablet charging without a case.

(From Media Essay Album)
Description of Subject Matter:
The photograph pictured above was taken for the media essay final project. The subject of the photo is my 50 pack of Crayola colored pencils. I initially purchased this pack back in high school to complete anatomy drawings, but in college I typically use them to color-code my notes and draw in my free time. When this photo was taken, I was in the study room in my dorm, studying for my Intro to World Cinema final. The purpose of these colored pencils in my snapshot album is to represent creativity.
Relationship to Story/Theme:
These colored pencils are representative of "My College Experience" because taking this Intro to Visual Culture course has definitely inspired my creativity as a student. One of my favorite parts about this class was the fact that all of the assignments were very open-ended and did not have explicit criteria/descriptions. I think that this kind of coursework really gives students the ability to express their interests & creativity without having to necessarily worry about their grade being negatively impacted. Additionally, I liked the fact that most of the work was composed of group projects. I feel as though working with peers allows students to get a wide range of different perspectives on certain subjects. Working with others also provides the opportunity for collaboration. Moving on from this class, I hope that creativity will continue to be one of the "things I can have" following graduation. I have been inspired to create my own artwork in the future.
