I celebrated my 50th birthday by making 50 small paintings (in one day) and combining them into a single work of art. Watch the process in a short time lapse video here: youtu.be/zOzsNf_7TlU

Design Thinking is the difference that makes the difference in management.

Had some fantastic Puerto Rican cuisine for lunch at the Niagara Cafe with Jeff and Dutchee. Post-lunch, Jeff, my wife and I took a quick spin down to the Buffalo harbor so we could take a few pictures of the city enveloped in the fog coming off Lake Erie. It was overcast enough for the lights to come on, so I decided to use this as a chance to do some selective desaturation.

I spent a nice evening at a wok restaurant with friends. This jasmine tea looked, smelled and tasted very good.

Design Thinking has outcomes that are not finite but rather are infinite, as they lead to a multitude of alternative outcomes.

Design Thinking oscillates between flexible actions and sensitive feedback.

Design Thinking calls on the individual to play many roles, all of which are held within an 'action frame'.

Design Thinking is a road that is always under construction.

Study for the back. I ended up going with much darker fabric to reference the black depths the foreclosures have had on neighborhoods.

In the heart of Scandinavia, amidst the whispering pines and the gentle caress of the northern wind, there unfolds a tale of earth and artistry. This series captures the essence of a young potter, whose hands breathe life into clay, shaping it into forms as ancient as time and as fresh as a morning dew. From the initial caress of raw earth to the triumphant emergence of creation, we trace her journey through moments of passion, introspection, and serene completion. Welcome to "Clay Whispers: A Potter's Journey," a visual ode to the timeless dance between creator and creation.

Poem:

In the grasp of her hands, clay turns and twists,

Ancient whispers caught in modern mist.

Beneath her fingers, stories unfold,

Of warmth, of courage, bold yet untold.

In the glow of the kiln, dreams take flight,

Shadows dance in the flickering light.

Each piece, a fragment of her soul's song,

In clay, she finds where her heart belongs.

As the wheel spins, so do the days,

In her art, the echo of nature's ways.

With every touch, a world comes alive,

In the dance of clay, her spirit thrives.

Haiku:

Clay beneath her touch,

Whispers of earth, air, and fire,

Art in motion blooms.
