Happy Sliders Sunday!

a few paint strokes to create a dreamy softness in the early morning light.

Happy Sliders Sunday!

Off for a Snow Day hike on our snowshoes, braving the wind and snow. Actually being in the woods gave us some shelter from the cold wind.

The snow covered trees were amazing.

Happy Sliders Sunday!

I really dislike thaws in winter when the snow gets all dirty. Thankfully winter has returned to our area and all is pristine and white again.

Inspired by all our rain yesterday... having a little fun in photoshop.

We all need a little sparkle now and then... Happy Sliders Sunday1

An attempt to express the imaginary image property "infinite layers" over a foreground and a background layer.

... something a little out of my usual nature shots.. a gritty take on a stroll in the city

Happy Sliders Sunday

Going through some of my old 35 mm images and came across one of my favourites. This was shot with my Canon AE1 which I still have, BUT I would never want to go back in time and give up a digital camera!

The wood is piled and there is nothing like a cozy fire in the winter.

(I know its a small woodpile... we do have another one as well.)

Happy Fence Friday!

for all the train buffs (that's my husband)... with the fence in the foreground... a little creative editing... HFF

i watched him through the quiet pulse of the christmas market in valencia, where lights hung low and laughter flickered like fire. he sat alone, cloaked in a heavy hood and the evening’s chill, his brush dancing delicately across the canvas. the world blurred around him—soft hands and loud steps—but he stayed, focused, lost in his craft. each line he painted seemed carved from his soul, a quiet language of patience and purpose. the scarf curled at his neck like a tether to earth, but his mind drifted elsewhere, where tiny art could bloom unnoticed, untouched.

his hands told stories the crowd would never hear, and in the faint glow of lamps, i froze time.

(this one is quite different from the other ones in the series)

I had a conversation with the Microsoft Copilot regarding one of my short, whimsical prompts.

I got a good explanation of it, you can read all about it in my prompt, where I copied the whole thing.

This is the whole story, which I used as the PROMPT:

Abstract brutalist painting in the style of Martha Jungwirth painted under the influence of ayahuasca mixed with funny bone extract, cryptid taxidermy, Bogomil's Universe

Microsoft Copilot Answer:

Absolutely! Let's break it down:

Abstract brutalist painting in the style of Martha Jungwirth painted under the influence of ayahuasca mixed with funny bone extract, cryptid taxidermy, Bogomil's Universe.

Abstract brutalist painting:

The phrase sets the stage by specifying the type of painting: abstract (non-representational, often with emphasis on form and color) and brutalist (a style usually associated with architecture, characterized by stark, rugged forms).

In the style of Martha Jungwirth:

This adds an influence, suggesting the artwork should reflect the distinctive, often vivid, and expressive approach of Austrian artist Martha Jungwirth.

Painted under the influence of ayahuasca mixed with funny bone extract:

A vivid and imaginative detail, implying that the creative process is influenced by a mixture of ayahuasca (a hallucinogenic brew) and an imaginary extract from the "funny bone," likely suggesting a humorous or whimsical element.

Cryptid taxidermy:

This introduces a surreal, fantastical twist, referencing the display of mythological or mythical creatures (cryptids) preserved through taxidermy.

Bogomil's Universe:

Finally, this places the painting in a specific, esoteric context, possibly alluding to the dualistic religious sect of the Bogomils or a fictional universe named after them, adding a layer of mysticism or philosophical depth.

Your question blends specific art styles, unusual creative influences, and fantastical elements to create a richly layered, imaginative concept. Quite a fascinating and intricate request!
