I have no idea what this is, but it caught my eye on an evening walk through our campground. Had some fun with edits... Happy Sliders Sunday.
the fruit stays untouched. two bottles of water. a note from the hotel. but the table belongs to the cameras. lenses, caps, straps – everything in its place. the light slips through the curtains, painting patterns on the wall. outside, the world wakes up. inside, the frame is already set.
Spending time in nature is such a retreat, no matter the weather of which we had all sorts on a recent trip to Algonquin Park.
Trying to create the look of a painting for Sliders Sunday.
Early mornings are the best when the landscape just starts to emerge from the mist.
Happy Sliders Sunday!
Yes, it's the smoke from an incense cone. I absolutely loved this challenge and have done many shots. This was one of my favourites because it almost looks like soft floaty fabric rather than smoke. Photographing smoke has quite captivated me. I super love learning new skills and this has been a magical experience. 😍
The Sumac is a useful plant. It provides cover for wildlife, nectar and food for insects, spices, teas, dyes, medicines and even tannins...an incredibly giving plant.
Happy Sliders Sunday!
I rather like old fences... just having a little fun editing this one we passed by on a bike ride in early spring. Happy Fence Friday!

Emulsion lift and destruction. I like the different creative techniques to customise a Polaroid. The delicacy of the emulsion lift contrasts with the destruction of part of the photograph. Polaroid week’24, day 6 - number 1
the night carried the hum of the la rambla christmas market, a chorus of voices weaving through the cool air. amidst the flickering lights and hurried steps, she sat, a quiet rhythm in the chaos, painting stories on golden canvases. her hands, steady and deliberate, held decades of wisdom, the brush an extension of her soul. the glow of a nearby lamp illuminated her silver hair and focused gaze, creating a halo of warmth that defied the night's chill. here was patience, etched into the curve of her back and the careful precision of her strokes—a reminder that even in the rush, there is time for beauty to unfold.
The yellow water lily is also called the Brandy Bottle. Apparantly it is edible... but I wouldn't know ... Lol

This Range light has actually been quite nicely restored in recent years, but this image attempts to give the illusion of an old photo, wrinkled and battered by time. Happy Sliders Sunday!
Creating a fantasy on Lake Huron... as the ice still clings to the trees and the water levels are high.
There is a group of local photographers who have decided to shoot images on the theme of vegetables for this month. We have joined them in this challenge and it is open to our interpretation on the theme. So I took this shot of a red onion ( which is now in our stew for tomorrow). Then I used a few sliders to give the image a “grunge” effect. Happy Sliders Sunday……and bon appetite!
