Mia Christopher is a whirlwind of bright productivity. As a multi-disciplinary artist residing in San Francisco, Mia is filling the art world with color and whimsy, participating in group and solo shows up and down the West Coast as well as internationally. All this while she's working toward her BFA from the California College of the Arts. We can't wait to see what's next from Mia. Stay tuned for more Scout Books from Mia; she filled up THREE with playful illustrations and material studies.

Maybe you wouldn't think a web hosting and virtualization service provider would have any need for pocket notebooks. You'd be wrong. Since 1998, Media Temple has been hosting websites, email, business applications, and other rich internet content. They are certainly high-tech but some things just can't beat the pen-to-paper approach. Scout Books rule when jotting down ideas fast and keeping lists on the go.
New Belgium Brewery is on tour this summer with 20 short films created by their fans to spread "beer musings and filmed enlightenment." It's called the Clips of Faith Beer and Film Tour with all the proceeds going towards an organization in the host city. Pretty cool, huh? Even cooler, they enlisted our notebook-making expertise to help them create special Scout Books for their beer-tasting needs.
The good folks over at New Belgium sent us some photos from the recent Madison event and it looks like they had a ton of fun. Check out the rest of the tour locations here–if you're lucky, they might be coming to a city near you!
Vance Reeser makes animated films, creates images, crafts websites, and writes a blog. He so expertly filled up this Scout Book with some amazing character sketches–and a collage treat at the end. Not to mention the first time we've ever seen the Scout Book used as a mask! Bravo, bravo Vance! Great innovation. Great sketches.
Find Vance's work here, on his website. One project we're particularly intrigued by is a short animated film Vance is creating called the Beast of Black Lake. He used Kickstarter to fund the project but is still accepting backers to help propel the project towards completion.
We're pretty sure we'll be seeing loads of great stuff from Vance in the near future.
MDP Bassworks specializes in the repair, restoration and custom builds of Double Basses. These Scout Book notebooks were made as promotional items complete with MDP's info on the back. Black ink on chipboard always looks good!
From Dave Selden, the creator of 33 Bottles of Beer and 33 Bottles of Wine, with a little help from Chris Tacy and Brent Fortune, comes 33 Cups of Coffee. And none too soon as the Winter months are in full swing! Nothing comes close to a piping hot cup of coffee when it’s chilly out.
In true 33 Books fashion, this journal comes complete with a flavor wheel, demystifier, and of course, a little something in the ink! That’s right, a few drops of coffee were added to the ink during the printing of this book.
So head over to your favorite coffee shop or brew some up at home and start your coffee-tasting adventure with this great journal in hand!

Corey Thompson fills Scout Books with a regularity that puts me to shame. Sure, I go through a few a month, but my to-do lists and notes are hardly as inspiring as his sweet, sweet sketches. Corey posts filled-up Scout Books to his site regularly, so check there often for pocket-sized creativity.

Jesse Hora is an art director, an illustrator and an Michigan native. He filled these Scout Books with fun, funky sketches and smart illustrations. A super sweet ongoing illustration project of his is Athlete Objects, in which he creates his interpretations of 1980s and 1990s athletes based off of their names, his childhood memories, and their Wikipedia entries. Pretty fresh!

Junichi Tsuneoka is Stubborn Sideburn, a Seattle-based character designer and illustrator who created this awesome Make Your Own Scout Book. What got us excited is that he really understands the power of a pocket-perfect notebook! Sweet, typographically strong tidbits such as"Free your mind blank pages" and "A small book for big ideas" make us really excited. Oh! And don't forget about "Big ideas can fit in your pocket." We agree.
Heart Roasters is a new craft roaster located on East Burnside in Portland. They recently printed two styles of cards: one for drinks and the other for coffee beans. Awesome!
This great Scout Book project comes to us from the people over at Aha! agency in celebration of their fourth anniversary. Located in Austin, TX, they specialize in branding + fresh perspectives and wanted to give their clients, friends, and fans a special kind of thank-you for their support. I think this Scout Book is perfect for the job! Printed in orange and brown, complete with a belly band (you know we love a good belly band) and custom interiors – turning four in 2010 never looked better!
Zen Foundation, social media made easy by Stepstone Tech, made this lovely three-color Scout Book for a conference in San Francisco.
