Whelp, it's time for another challenge, but this time I'm not taking on the 365. I am however, taking on a 52 weeks project.
The main goal of this project is to stretch my creative muscles and learn some new techniques. One of the things I'll be using to help with ideas is Lindsay Adler's "Creative 52: Weekly Projects to Invigorate your Portfolio"
This is week one which was supposed to be dominated by a single color. Adding an accent color was also allowed which gave me a chance to explore color harmony a little. Blue and orange are complimentary colors according to my limited understanding. Adding the orange does make this a much more interesting photo.
Camera:

Lighting:
-LP160 at full power in a large Rogue Flash Bender with the softbox attachment directly above and slightly in front of the subject (me) pointing straight down with two blue gels on it.
-LP160 at full power with a Gary Fong lightsphere on it with the sphere blacked out with gaffer's tape. It was directly behind me point at a white background with an orange gel on it.
These are my mothers' hands, who are creating pillows for my apartment today.
Happy Mothers' Day,
to all the mothers around
I was playing around with free lensing here.

Julianne wearing a white Perfect T . . . I'm trying to be more creative with my portrait work, and saw these 3D butterfly stickers.
Combining Julianne's beauty with the butterflies--I love it.
This Bat Mitzvah was held at The Andover Country Club in Andover Massachusetts. We were fortunate to be able to work with our friends, Ruth Helman and Elisa Bernstein of Creative Celebrations of Danvers Massachusetts on their event . Both Ruth and Elisa are creative professionals and an absolute joy to work with.
