A creation myth is a symbolic narrative of how the world began and how people first came to inhabit it. While in popular usage the term myth often refers to false or fanciful stories, members of cultures often ascribe varying degrees of truth to their creation myths. In the society in which it is told, a creation myth is usually regarded as conveying profound truths – metaphorically, symbolically, historically, or literally. They are commonly, although not always, considered cosmogonical myths – that is, they describe the ordering of the cosmos from a state of chaos or amorphousness.
Trying again to challenge myself with a theme, so pulled out my Canon7 with f0.95 lens and decided to look at clouds and DOF. The challenge was that the day was sunny so had to find ways to use wide open aperture. Maybe I partially succeeded since it took me some time to get through the roll. The Canon combination is a really nice one - the glass is heavy but very versatile and certainly makes you think twice about what you might be able to accomplish. Thanks to all those who keep inspiring with their creations; it helps the rest of us out substantially!
I will be donating two of my Daleks to creations for charity. I don't know the full cost yet, but I will tell you as soon as I get the confirming email. They won't be on the site until I do get that email, so be sure to check in once and a while. I am guessing each one will be around $12 or cheaper, but I don't know. And remember, ALL OF THIS MONEY GOES TO CHARITY! I am only getting reimbursed for the shipping cost. I might make a few more of these in other colors (Hint, hint, Dalek Sek) and maybe some of my micro-scale ships, too. But head on over to the store and see what they have right now!

Sunday morning "something past nine" and almost nobody on the street. We are living in a 24/7 world but here the Sunday seems still for God.
I took my parents to Paris in 1991 to show them the city I love (and visit so often). This terrace of Café Français was one of the places where I had coffee with them. You should cherish those beautiful memories.
Place de la Bastille
The Place de la Bastille is a square in Paris, where the Bastille prison stood until the 'Storming of the Bastille' and its subsequent physical destruction between 14 July 1789 and 14 July 1790 during the French Revolution; no vestige of it remains.
The square straddles 3 arrondissements of Paris, namely the 4th, 11th and 12th. The square and its surrounding areas are normally called simply Bastille.
The July Column (Colonne de Juillet) which commemorates the events of the July Revolution (1830) stands at the center of the square. Other notable features include the Bastille Opera, the Bastille subway station and a section of the Canal Saint Martin. Prior to 1984, the former Bastille railway station stood where the opera house now stands.
The square is often home to concerts and similar events. The north-eastern area of Bastille is busy at night due to many cafés, bars, night clubs, and concert halls.
As a consequence of its historical significance, the square is often used for political demonstrations, including the massive anti-CPE demonstration of 28 March 2006.

The cream brickwork stands out on the stable block at Beamish Museum. I particularly like the ventilators. This building is a re-creation of the stables located between High Spen and Greenside, near Rowlands Gill, which served the Victoria Garesfield Colliery.

Although John D. Rockefeller Jr. spent most of his life engaged in philanthropy, his single, defining business venture was the creation of the “city within a city”. Selznick decided to produce Gone With the Wind and where the ever-adored Christmas Spectacular debuted. “Don’t ‘give the people what they want,’” said S.L. “Roxy” Rothafel, the man who created Radio City Music Hall. “Give ’em something better.” Throughout the 1930s, Rockefeller Center steadily improved, including some accidental innovations like the Christmas Tree tradition in 1931 and the skating rink in 1936. By 1939, more than 125,000 people were visiting Rockefeller Center daily; on its own, it would have been the 51st largest city in the U.S.

Over the past year I have been incredibly lucky to cross off many LEGO "must dos" off my bucket list, and one of them was to partake in Creations for Charity - both as a donor (1) (2) and as a purchaser.
Going into the purchase phase I was out to get what I would consider 'iconic' builds of my favorite builders I was very lucky that Ryan put up his crate, it might not have been his most iconic build, but it's iconic to me - as I believe that was the first ever build I saw of his...
And well ... I kinda twisted Isaac's arm to give up one of his prized Firetrucks (And yes you can still borrow this for shows...)
