Thanks to Creations for Charity the hallowed story of the Gypsy Queen squadron has another chapter...

What's the story you ask? It all started years ago when Stijn built the MATSF-5000E Superbanshee II SE which was gifted to none other than Keith, who in turn honoured Stijn's gift with an epic build - the Gypsy Queen, You are cleared for Launch.

Which, was in turn homaged by yours truly with Operation Oscar as my launch pad to try to bribe voters at every convention with my FrogPODs (it didn't work).

So I finally got to not only meet Mr. Goldman and partake in one of his epic layouts, he but gifted me one of the Gyspy Queens.

The last, would be donated to C4C - where it would be up for grabs by anyone.

... but what fun would that be? Plus it'd be a horrible way to end the story of the Gypsy Queens....

Instead, I seized the oppurtunity to dictate where the last Gyspy Queen would land...

So now I have two.

I don't really need two.

I just need one.

So where will the last one go?

Someone will get a nice Xmas present.

This striking creation is above the front door of an elegant, old villa. Behind the villa is a formal garden, populated by life-size or larger classic Greco-roman sculptures. The garden is sometimes open to the public.

However, I like this head, crowned by a heavy over-flowing harvest basket, better than any of the sculptures in the garden. They seem lifeless in comparison.

I think it is because, to me, the expression on this face is Mona-Lisa mysterious. I can't decide if I see joy or pain, satisfaction or weariness, some combination of these things...or maybe something else entirely. What do you see?

I have no idea who created it or when, or the process by which such works are made.

Location: The Villa near the entrance to Wenken Park, Riehen BS Switzerland.

This weekends creations... Finished up the LVT. Then wanted another, but decided on a modular drop in. :) LVT4-A. Finished up restructuring the WC63. Middle of frame is MUCH STURDIER now. Extended it back one more brick. Made a DBG PA willys jeep for the LVT. Of course it fits with room to spare. :) Also finally built my version of Major's fine Type 95. I still can not find 2 tan and 2 DBG curved bricks for the sides. Used slopes instead, for now. Finally got the pieces to fix my M2A4's suspension. Looks much better now.
