Neville Chamberlain, Minister of Health, visits slum clearance areas in Newcastle upon Tyne in the company of John Grantham, Sheriff of Newcastle, 16 October 1925 (TWAM ref. DF.GRA/1/4).
These images belong to a series of albums documenting John Grantham’s service to the City of Newcastle upon Tyne as its Sheriff 1924-1925 and its Lord Mayor 1936-1937. John Grantham was born in Blyth in 1877 and became a cinema proprietor in Newcastle. He was elected to the City Council in 1912 and became an alderman in 1932. The albums give us an interesting insight into the duties of Lord Mayor and Sheriff as well as a fascinating picture of the times.
2016 is the 800th anniversary of the creation of Newcastle's Mayoralty and Burgesses.

----In the last week during my 'almost 3 weeks' USA trip through the state of California, I stayed at June Lake east of Yosemite National Park. I had planned that location in my trip to have at least a location accessible for some clear nights if Yosemite happened to be closed during snowfall or bad weather.
The beautiful location of June Lake, with almost no light pollution at the horizon or anywhere near June Lake, (except some light from the small village itself) it was a perfect alternative for me to still have the hope to capture the Stunning Milky Way in all it's glory.
And so it happened that All roads but one
(which was 5 hours away on the other side of the Park) were closed because of snow fall..
...so June Lake it was' ...
It ended up being an Amazing last stargazing week, with 4 incredible nights of clear skies.
Walking around June Lake Village and the Stunning Lake itself, I was able to see The Milky Way with my own eyes like I've never experienced it before!
And the last night turned out being THE' 'True High point!
"Standing there as one man alone, in total darkness staring up at God's Infinite Creation, peacefully capturing it's beauty I got multiple visitations from groups of wild deer and even a Mountain lion
--Clearly aware of, but not at all disturbed by me walking around with my camera gear, they (the deer) even approached me till up to 65 feet!
It was... "Unforgettable.."
I decided to donate this mail delivery speeder bike
They sell custom lego creations, and the proceeds are used to buy lego sets for underprivileged children.
This speeder bike comes as a fully playable set, including a mailman, four letters, a snack (pretzel and coffee), a piece of road and a transparent stand.
The minifigure can sit on the speeder bike,
letters and snack can be stored in the bike’s containers,
by means of the transparent stand it can be displayed "hovering" above the road.
I used old and new bricks, all in good condition.

What a year!!!
Between my The Simpsons "Springbrick Project", my crazy Iron builder round 3 against Letranger Absurde and my even crazier Iron Builder round 7 against David Hensel (Legonardo Davidy), a all lot of cretions for me this year.

This is a wider frame of a shot I took a while ago....the strong colours are enhanced due to bushfire smoke in the megalong valley.
Have you every found that dandelion that had yet to lose any of the seeds? I think I found it. Creation is amazing!
This past weekend was filled with photography and discussions on faith. I photographed two weddings at the same venue and then discussed faith-based questions, questions on “professional photography business practices” and a bunch of other things. This photo was not from one of this weekend’s weddings. This was from the wedding I did last month in Wisconsin, where the groomsmen, upon my suggestion, were kind enough to recreate the “Evolution of Man” photo (which I know has been done before). Best of all, this brick wall was the side of the church the couple got married in, a very good-natured and open-minded couple.
I tell all my clients that the best photos come from two different things. The photographer has to be creative enough to come up with the idea, and the couple has to be willing to “go for it”. Not all photographers people who take photos are able to accomplish this because either they’re too shy, or want to remain professional/classy, or aren’t able to think abstract and at times kooky. As you can see from the photo below part of creating good photos is knowing how to loosen up, feel the vibe of the people, and assist in helping create photos that might not otherwise occur on their own. Thus I’m not a photojournalist, I’m a.. er… uh, a photo creationist. I think. I also like Corona apparently.
