A new pair of 2025 Adidas Sambas for $100!? $70 on sale, and then there's the shipping cost!?
I decided to put my artist skills to work on my "newest" pair from 2009. (I had two other pairs, from 2005 and 1997, but the soles were hardening and cracking.)
First, a good cleaning with a damp cloth. Then:
1. Westley's Bleche-Wite was made to clean tire sidewalls and make whitewalls white again. But it works just fine on those white Adidas stripes.
2. Good old Kiwi black shoe polish for the leather. Careful to avoid the white stripes!
3. Createx acrylic airbrush paint, diluted, works great on the black suede toes. This can cause the suede to flatten -- a stiff suede brush will get it standing up again.
They're ready for another 30,000 steps, lol.
