One of the Lomo Anamorphic lenses I bought in 2008 (lenses built in 1980's). I shot several music videos, commercials and recently the upcoming feature film CRAWLSPACE on them. All converted to pl mount to be used on RED and ALEXA camera.
This warehouse is used for the storage of evidence from Chicago & Cook County crimes, including those of serial killer John Wayne Gacy, Jr.
Among the grisly artifacts stored here are the door to Gacy's crawlspace where he buried nearly 30 young men and boys, personal items of his victims, a ligature Gacy used for strangulation, and samples of Gacy's blood.

The affect of flood injury on a property will usually be important, as there are literally a variety of different issues that might be broken in terms of flooding. For instance, a washer on the second ground of the house with a damaged provide line may cause water damage to that ground, the first flooring, and even in many circumstances the basement or crawlspace below. Because you charged it, you might have already quick circuited the telephone because there was water inside the gadget whenever you charged it. Give the rice bag a try though simply in case.

David is one of my original hunting pals--hunting, meaning "scrounging, salvaging. resource-recovery, architectural archaeology." When the Eugene Grower's Market was getting started, David drafted me and my pickup truck into a mission of salvaging building materials to convert the decrepid warehouse the co-op had bought into a going, functional, commercial concern.
We found old doors and used them to for new offices. David even engineered solutions to a mandated elevator and sprinkler system, on a shoestring budget.
There's nothing I enjoy more than hearing another warehouse, building, boat, or barn is coming down, and the call goes out--"grab your drill motors and pry bars, shoulder up the implements of destruction and let's go gleaning". It's a hunting trip without the blood (at least, not the Bambi's blood, I always seem to bruise and bleed at least once in every project--). I love it. Creeping through attic crawlspaces, busting up sheetrock, who knows what hidden treasures lurk? It's not for everyone, definitely an acquired taste--and David is among those swashbucklers who helped me acquire the taste for the...hunt. Looting is such a harsh word, I prefer "salvage", nautical term, y'know mate.
Under-slab rough-in underway. This is the plastic molded sump pit for the crawlspace areas. (sometimes called a crock or a tub). Its not expected to be required, but is an easy item to incorporate and makes removing water much easier in case of a flood, or a pluming leak. For a 20-25$ item it always makes sense to put one in. J/k we will be placing a fortified vent here so animals won't be able to get into the crawlspace and die.
We were worried that our crawlspace was leaking, so during one particularly bad rainstorm, Carolyn squeezed her way into the crawlspace to check it out and make sure it wasn't wet up in there. These are some angles of our house that we've never seen in 17 years...

You can barely make out here that water was leaking into our crawlspace last night through a crack in the foundation

Today I opened a crawl space that hadn't been opened in over 40 years. Instead of getting on a ladder to see what was up there I stuck the iPhone up there for recon. Unsure if the things shooting by the lens are dust particles or spiritual apparitions. The thing is they appear before I raise the camera, and there was no dust coming down that I could see. You can see dust! Very strange indeed.
SOUTH LOS ANGELES - At noon on July 2, 2025, LAFD fire companies, USAR crews, and HazMat specialists responded to the 300 block of East Olympic Blvd and initiated a confined space operation to rescue a civilian trapped in a crawlspace beneath the street. Companies coordinated efforts for approximately 90 minutes to extricate the patient and then transport him to the hospital in fair condition.

This is an abandoned vernacular frame house on US 15 near Gela, North Carolina in Granville County. There are two doors, and I wonder if this was a rural duplex at one time. The house is on concrete blocks with a crawl space beneath. It‘s possible that the far right shows an addition to the building. At one time lattice-work extended along the base of the wooden porch where the most rudimentary of steps exist. Tin roof covers the house, and a shed roof of tin shelters the porch, supported by slender, square wooden posts. Judging from the size of the tree growing in front of the steps, the home possibly has been deserted for some time. I liked the November setting and mood.

Here is what your framing components can look like after several years of inadequate crawlspace ventilation.

Went into the crawlspace earlier and found some of my old toy cars from childhood. 1980 Ford Bronco (Hot Wheels co.) that never did any offroading in the muddy backyard like the Police Bronco.

I found these notes in the crawlspace of our house when we moved in. The sole documentation of an apparently somewhat short-lived detective make-believe session, er, career.
Some Vectrex manuals and a screen overlay I found in our attic crawlspace, all in mint or like new condition:
Owner's Manual
Owner's Club form
Accessories order form (carrying case & dust cover)
Passport
Minestorm instructions booklet
Minestorm screen overlay w protective sleeve
Make me an offer. These are for sale to anyone in the U.S. via money order.

I was the host for our second Festivus, which means I was the one who had to be pinned before the evening could move on. I proudly beat all the girls.

My friend Rob lived here for a while when we were going to college at Penn State. His room was on the third floor of a house, and this room mirrored another one on the other side, where our friend Dave lived. In fact, that little door you see to the right led to a crawlspace that went the whole way around the house, and back to a little door in Dave's room.
Some times, during parties, groups of people would be taken upstairs to go through the "Fun Tube". To increase the fun factor, occasionally there would be a fan blowing from Dave's room, and a strobe light.
Oh, and for those younger viewers, that thing below the fallout shelter sign is a record player.
After crawling through some narrow crawlspaces, we were pretty muddy. It was fun though -- although it was pretty nice to see the light of day after being in the darkness for several hours.
Unfortunately, I’m still unable to be an active Flickr participant with bandwidth limits imposed by my ISP. Thank you for taking time to view this photo. If you comment, however, it’s still unlikely I’ll be able to return the favor, sad to say.
