here's a new concept i'm playing with-covering one image up w/ another. this whole concept of covering up has become very apparent in my world. ever since i was a little girl, i can recall instances of trying to make things pretty that aren't pretty. this concept is driving me lately. and i'm planning on using it to create some of my own art...which i haven't done in a very long time. what are your thoughts? (since other's thoughts are indeed what inspired this in the first place).
i'm just thinking that if we'd stop covering up and trying to make things pretty, then maybe we'd get to the bottom of more issues. seems pretty simple. a lot easier said than done, i realize. but just a thought.
I get the feeling that Kmart is getting ready to pull the plug entirely.

The final version of my bear cover-up. The blue dragon head was pretty damned cool but looked ...incomplete ... just floating by itself. So I worked with Fish to add in crossed swords behind the dragon's head. He suggested that it be "mounted" on a shield or placard of some kind, like you would see in a tavern or trophy room, and I liked where he was going with this. And voilá! NOW it looks like a complete piece.
The photo is from Fish. I know he used some model of iPhone but not sure exactly which one (5? 7? 10?). I used my iPhone 11 to crop down the image.
WEEK 29 – Return to Superlo, Set II
(cont.) ...because as of my most recent visit in late June 2017, Superlo has finally covered it up! (And what a tasteful poster they chose to accomplish that feat with, featuring yet another of their alcohol sponsors :P ) Some background, for those unfamiliar: when they initially took over this store, Superlo converted this salesfloor space out in front of the former pharmacy (since they did not take operation of said pharmacy) into a huge beverages alcove (see here and here). But then, in 2015, Superlo moved its selection of beer out from one of the regular grocery aisles and into this space – swapping places with sodas and waters – and also installed a huge beer cave over here in the process. That beer cave necessitated the mangling of the material(s) covering up the pharmacy interior; furthermore, the angle-of-opening of the rightmost swinging door allowing access to the refrigerated beer stocked on shelving inside the cave (seen far left in the photo above) prevented Superlo from extending its non-refrigerated beer shelving in front of the former pharmacy (seen far right above) any further, hence creating this opening. I took full advantage of the situation and got some cool views through this area before, but all in all, I'm happier to see it covered up now rather than continuing to act as an eyesore.

Here's the beach coverup with the two hoods in place. totally protected and totally snug. The stretchy skirt allows you to wiggle in (with help) but once it's pulled down, with your hands in the pockets, you're set for the day.
This CUTE vintage 12" doll wardrobe pattern is wonderful! I love the bathing suit! The sleeveless dress opens at upper front and back seams. Patch pocket trim Views 1,2,& 6. Scarf ties are ribbon or braid. View 2 bathing suit is lined, dart fittd, fastening with snaps in back. Ribbon or braid shoulder straps. Dress gatheres to a yoke with jewel necklinek, back opening. View 3 & 4 blouse has kimono sleeves, back opening. Shorts resemble veiw 2 & 4. Jumper is styled with a low "v"neckline and armholes. View 5 dress gathers to a yoke with extended shoulders, back opening, scooped neckline. Ribbon trim View 6 robe has a front snap closing, below elbow length sleeves, lace and button trim ensemble. Cap forms self ruffle with elastic on inside.
