This is a bobblehead doll of President Nixon in the National Bobblehead Museum and Hall of Fame at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Although records wouldn't be released until 2008 of then-candidate Nixon's secret dealings with Vietnam in 1968, I bet President Nixon in 1973 was thinking the following:
A crook?!? That accusation about Watergate and its coverup is peanuts. Sometimes I do things big. There was a time just a few years ago when the President of the United States secretly called me a traitor of the country. What LBJ didn't understand was that I, Richard M. Nixon, had to send a secret envoy to sabotage the President's peace talks with Vietnam because I wanted to be President and I did not want to lose to a Democrat again. Especially to Hubert Humphrey. I had to win. Talks of peace were lifting the Democrats' popularity. That had to be stopped.
Future critics may say that tens of thousands of American sons lost their lives in Vietnam in the years that followed. Some might join in to accuse me of being a traitor. Nonsense, I say. In 1968 there was the Presidential race at hand. Once I became President, with all of the growing power of the executive branch, even if that news leaked out it would all be water under the bridge. Manageable. It is my genius that will be remembered in getting us out of Vietnam, not LBJ's. I will obtain a better peace. That is to say a peace where I will be remembered.
I am not a crook and I am also not a traitor. Damn godless commie Democrats.

Against the sun or the a/c
Bare arms are lovely in the summer, until you start to burn or have to spend too long in the freezer section of the grocery store.
Despite the sweltering temps, I like to keep a coverup on hand. It’s convenient if you’ve been out in the sun too long or have to spend some time in a place where the a/c is pumping. A button-front shirt is a classic.

Posing barefoot in a very pretty purple dress beach coverup next to a very pretty display of pink flower this was a weekend away in Palm Springs at a delightful clothes free resort where we enjoyed swimming, a lunch by the pool and walking into town to stroll the tourist main street and go dancing at a club. A fun weekend with one wonderful wise and pretty woman.
