Had the funnest shoot with 3 toddlers (age 2,3,4) + Tookie yesterday afternoon. The two on the left are my friend Alison's kids and the curly haired cutie is their cousin. I'll share more once I get the blog post done but wanted to upload this one for Beth's love contest. Do you guys like the lower contrast b&w?
I was so excited to have my sister and nephews come and visit this last weekend, we have missed them so... much! I have missed flickr as well, my kids are in so many activities this year and I feel like I am on the go all the time! I have a ton of catching up to do!!!
Here is my Cousin Cheryl and my Grandfather William(bill) back in 1987 at my Auntie Jenny's house in Brisbane.

On Saturday I met my cousin and his lovely family after the game (Burnley 1 - 0 Bristol city) in the pub outside Turf Moor.
His two daughters and son wanted to do something special for my cousin, Craig, for his 60th birthday.
I went all through school with Craig, and just as we were leaving school in 1981 he re-located to Scotland with his parents and siblings.
He always remained a keen Burnley fan, but couldn’t attend games as he had his own family to support and look after.
So for Saturday his children organised tickets for the game, in the posh seats! They rented a house in a nearby town, Clitheroe. It was initially a surprise for Craig, but his kids were too eager to let him know.
They were all decked out in Burnley colours too ♥️💙
So… Craig is stood at the back.
(Front row) Beau (his granddaughter) Chelsey (his daughter), Zak (his Grandson), Kevin (his son), and Margaret his wife).
His other daughter was on duty in the Falkland Islands.
A good win for their visit.

My cousin John was a Colonel in the USAF during the Vietnam War. He sent me a very faded shot of himself with his plane and asked if I could restore it. Not a lot of pixels to work with, but it was all he had.
I got the best birthday present this year. I got a first cousin!
All my life I knew I had a second aunt on my mother's side -- my Aunt Joan and my mother didn't keep their older sister's existence a secret. I even knew that she had three kids and lived somewhere in Burnaby. But we never talked about her. We never visited her family. I didn't even know the names of her children.
I had plenty of aunts, uncles, and cousins on my dad's side of the family, so I guess I figured that I didn't need to pester my mom about knowing more of her family than just my Aunt Joan.
Last week, Fred found the obituary of my Aunt Muriel's first husband. That obit contained the names of the children. He came upstairs and gave me the names, and not five minutes later, I was in touch with my Cousin Barbara on Facebook. We hit it off right away, and had a fine time sharing pictures and information about that side of the family. Neither of us knows what rift kept the families apart for so many years, but we are grateful to have finally found each other now.
Two days ago, we met for coffee. We can't wait to do it again!

Back in the 1990's, I was dating a man named David. This photo was taken during a trip we took to visit our relatives- his in North Carolina, and mine in New York. This was David with his cousins, Matthew, on the left, and Jason on the right, with a backdrop of Hendersonville's beautiful hills and farm country.
This was actually the third time we opened presents for Christmas. All of the cousins were here for this. It was like a shark feeding frenzy with everyone opening presents.
Sweetest memories of days gone by when three young cousins enjoyed a bedtime story together. No! I'm not going to cry remembering this moment with such great fondness. All three are now adults who enjoy full and happy lives!
I've had these for quite a while now and I don't have anywhere to display them. I feel like I should let them go but every time I dig them out to sell them, I change my mind. I don't know what I want to do, if I sell them I'll likely never get them back, at least not for a reasonable price. I sold off Noble Heart Horse long ago. Collecting is hard sometimes.
I've been having a hard time with my health lately, so it was a real delight to have my cousin and her husband come for a visit to Singapore. She's a wonderful writer who's published her own book and it was so nice to catch up with her. She asked if I could help her take some photos for her next book and I was more than happy to. So we went walking around Singapore looking for good spots to shoot, and this was one of my favourite shots from that evening.
