Part of my art coursework on "The Power of Humans" - energy consumption and conservation.

Affordable energy at the flick of a switch is something that most of the world has come to take for granted. Rising energy consumption, which increases global warming drastically, is something we all really need to avoid. My parents are huge on saving energy, so I've kind of had this drilled into my head for a while now :P

This shoot was fun, though I had to sort out all the bulbs into the correct packets afterwards, which was a nightmare!

6 days until Aaron!! Only six!!! :D Today I bought Zoolander so we can watch it together while I am there, as well as lots of new clothes and some new perfume so I can have a memory smell when I am there! When Aaron was here he always chewed this orangey flavoured gum and I nabbed a piece before he left, so now when I get lonely I chew a bite and it reminds me of him.

Our blog! I might post a before/after on here if you guys like :)

Its snowing its snowing its snowing

uploading not because i'm particuarly proud of this, but more because i miss uploading.

i like the winter because the sun sets in a place where i can see it. i don't like the winter because i get all pale and my freckles disappear and i look tired and ill all the time.

i tried out some photos with flour today. nothing came out very well but i've chucked one in comments. i will have another go sometime, hopefully i can persuade someone to help me because i found it nearly impossible to press the remote/throw the flour/do a 'pose' simultaneously.

i've also put something from this morning in comments, i wasn't quite sure on uploading it or not.

yesterday i read The Fault In Our Stars in 5 hours then cried and then comfort ate. aghh that book.

there are a couple of my darkroom coursework prints on my blog, which are not of me which is nice.

hope you're all well and happy <3

Make Art That Sells - coursework number two!

With Lilla Rogers Studio.

Hi there, first time in a while going out with the sole intention of getting pictures but I now have some more time after I finished my last bit of coursework last night for my first term of year 2.

Anyway when I first started taking pictures it was all about colour, I liked some pictures in B&W but it was something I was never personally interested in. But I have over the past couple of months been wanting to do more B&W photography, so expect to see more of it. I have been inspired by several different people's work on Flick with their long exposure B&W shots (usually involving water). This was the first real time I had go at making the B&W long exposure effect I was looking for and I am quite pleased with the result for a first attempt.

Finally I was quite impressed that any of my long exposure shots came out sharp and not blurred to be honest because the wind was exceptionally strong (30mph or so with 50mph + gusts). So I tried to act as much as a windblock as possible which did seem to work to an extent :).

Anyway enjoy!

Oh and there is a million and one dust spots/dirt, which I think wasn't helped by the weather none the less I have tried to take all them out but I may have missed a couple!

Yep, bye from me and Barney for a few days... I have loads of coursework due in at the end of this week so, I'm going to be REALLY busy for the next few days... I'm going to stay away from Flickr completely for a few days, till the weekend, it's just too distracting! I'm not too worried about getting it all finished on time but it's best not to have too many distractions :) Also, the internet connection at university seems to be particularly bad at the moment... which doesn't help, and is making everything, commenting etc take longer than normal :(

Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic week and I'll catch up with everyone at the weekend, when I don't have quite so much work to do and when, (hopefully) the internet is working better. I won't be on that much over the coming weeks though as exams start at the end of May, so revision has to begin soon!!

* Thanks for all the comments everyone, very much appreciated!! I'm back on Flickr again, the internet is much faster... and I've now got my coursework done, it's all handed in and I'm a lot less stressed :) Just revision to do now...

What a boring ol' Sunday, nothing but coursework and Podcast-making to do. I had to paint facial features (I say paint, if that's what you can call drawing on your hands with eyeliner) on my hands for part of my podcast today, so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone, and use the 'artwork' for my 365 too.
